Q : Does a 1-night stay count as the first stay ?
A : Yes, this would count as the first stay as long as the one night falls within the promotion period.

Twice I've had to file a "Missing Stay Request" for the 500 bonus points for a weekend stay. Both at the same hotel. First one posted quickly after the request. Waiting on the second one. My other weekend stays during the promo have posted correctly.

@bubbelbine, the problem is Marriott’s 1990’s IT is incapable of breaking down points earnings into more than 3 categories. So “Extra” is used as a catch all for anything that isn’t base points or elite bonus. This includes welcome amenity, MAGC, and any other bonuses that may be in effect.
Mostly MAGC missing but that has his own thread by now.

I say this as an IT systems guy. How does this go wrong this often...

Appreciate this clarification as I have a $2000 stay with check-in on June 3 and I wasn't sure if I'd be getting double points for a stay that crosses over the ending boundary. Looks like that info is in the FAQ too which I didn't see until I expanded the wiki.

I had my last stay for this campaign, check in the 4th check out the 6th. Was posted this morning when I checked my account, double points included. 40K points gained from this campaign in total.

Going to be interesting to see how the tracker handles these last few stays when they eventually post, including those that straddle the Jun 4 boundary, given it already thinks it’s ‘closed’.

I had the targeted double points promo as well, so earned 37.5 points per dollar for qualifying stays of two nights or more.
My last stay is still yet to post, but I will wind up netting approx 185k bonus points. My good luck these promos matched up with an unusually large number (for me) of expensive multi-night stays.
