Current Status of the Grandfathering Sweep to Lifetime Platinum Premier Elite / Lifetime Titanium Elite
As of 1/26 Members are reporting a SWEEP HAS OCCURRED LTPPE/LTitaniumE. Some have reported discrepancies between app and website still.
A sweep has also occurred of LTP qualifying from previous LTG on legacy rules.

If you have legitimately been swept and your website account shows that you have truly been grandfathered to Lifetime Platinum Premier Elite, then yes please do add a post with this information with useful details for others and this wiki will then be updated accordingly with your information.

Another positive data point. I was aiming for legacy Lifetime Gold - New Lifetime Platinum and that now shows correctly. Easily had the night requirement, but had to really work hard to get up to the 1.6 million point threshold in time. Confirmed the lifetime points over the phone in late December. Good to see Marriott IT can gets some things right.

Yay! 12 Plat and 913 nights finally paid off. I still remember when you needed 3.0 million points to make Lifetime Plat and I was sure I would never get there.

ltppe on both the app & website....glad this happened without having to follow up & prove that the criteria was met....marriott came through this time....

Now the next phase of the wait begins...
1) Will LTPPE actually result in a higher upgrade probability?
2) I don't think so, but does LTPPE get me the Ambassador, Your24, or Annual / Additional Choice Benefit?
3) Will anything change once Bonvoy Lifetime Titanium kicks in?
I am sure all the above would be answered if Marriott had a more clear description of LTPPE benefits.

Another success story. I am now LTPPE as a result of the sweep (both App and Web). My info (all Marriott Rewards Activity)
On 8/31/2018
Nights: ~730 (about 20 nights shy)
Points: 2,000,000+ (met qualifications)
Added about 40 nights during Sep thru Dec 2018 (25 from hotel stays and 15 from CC annual renewal) to push over 750
On 1/1/2019:
Still showing Lifetime Platinum (no sweep)
On 1/27/2019:
Now showing Lifetime Platinum Premier
Lifetime Account balance now includes the small handful of premerger SPG activity that I had over the years:
Nights: 811
Years as Silver, Gold or Platinum: 12
Years as Gold or Platinum: 11
Years as Platinum: 11

Swept to LTPPE based on 2M points and 750+ MR nights achieved last fall. (I was already PPE for 2019, so not really a rush needed for what basically boils down to a few bonus points.)
This stat makes me feel old:
It's a combination of MR + SPG, but still...
