Clarification from Starwood Lurker in post 125:
- In regards to the part of the offer where you can earn 1,000 points for trying a new brand…There is no minimum length of stay, but you only earn it starting with the second brand. So if you only stay at one brand during the promo period, you will not earn this bonus. But if you stay at 2 or more brands, you will earn 1,000 points for each of those brands after the first one even if the stay is only one night.
- You earn on every stay of 2+ nights, so it isn’t about accumulating nights. If you have two stays of 1 night each, you will not earn a bonus. If you have two accounts, you may register for MegaBonus with either or both accounts. You will only be able to earn with one account at a time because you will earn the bonus points in whichever account the stay was booked with. Example: If you have two accounts that are not combined: If you register for MegaBonus with your SPG number and stay with your SPG number, you will earn the bonus points in your SPG account. If you register for MegaBonus with your SPG number but book your stay with your MR number, you will not earn bonus points.

No worries.
Dif countries have different rules, so often sweeps are governed by the rules/laws of the originating country (in MAR/SPG case, the US). It can get a lot more problematic outside of US. For example, Canada is often included in sweeps but Canada has a rule/law that often sweeps have to have some quiz component (1+1 = ), which US doesn't have. And in Canada, Quebec is often excluded because of their rules/law re: sweeps. Other countries aren't used to using sweeps as marketing tools or knowing various rules/law (for example, in the US a purchase is not required for a legit sweeps/another free method of entry must be offered).
Back to the actual topic of the 2-stays, it's a lame promo & much worse than previous MAR promos. Count me w/ the if they were going to do a new one post-merger, they should have had a better one camp.
Cheers.

No. Marriott has always been if you're at a hotel for two separate stays but they're consecutive days (ie, check out & check back in), it's considered one stay. IT issues aside, MAR (and other hotel chains) aren't stoo-pid. They (mostly) know how people try to game the program.
Cheers.
(What is the secret to doing multi-poste quotes? Haven’t figured it out since FT was, um, enhanced!)

The rules for the 29 ways game have been published: https://29ways.marriott.com/rules.
You can enter daily but it seems you can only win once in total, which sucks for everyone who gets 50 points.

You think the lounges will be well stocked?? They're cutting back on what's available all the time and hotel managers can do this legitimately now, blaming Marriott for forcing them.
