The website is and has been a piece of garbage for over a year now.

That this thread is still so "popular" is just mind-boggling.
Hard to believe that they can't sort this out (at least to a somewhat acceptable level).

....and now on my way to marriott.com to chase down points that didn't post on a recent stay.........hopefully I can log in this time....

The glitches are back - my annual spend evaporated and is now listed as 0, as well as my lifetime years of status. Tried checking on the SPG and Marriott apps and they’re both 0.

I don’t want to panic, but seeing this nonsense come back/continue is ____ing ridiculous.

I think I posted about it up-thread, but the annual spend display has been all over the place for me. Disappears and reappears without any noticeable pattern or reason. Some times I can see it on the Website...other time not. Same with I-phone App...Same with Android App.

Can't recall if mine ever showed up but with a "0" balance though. Usually mine is just there or not.

Just checked. Currently, it appears for me on website, but nothing at all on either phone app.

Stabilized?

not sure if this is the right place to post, but what happened to spg.com's ability to search multiple rates and sort by pricing? the search function on marriott.com is.... subpar....?

Thinking about going to Kyoto to see cherry blossoms in late March/April.

1) went on app, the Suiran LC doesn't pop up seem to exist

2)think about STR Osaka but prefer to be in Kyoto. Points available at 48,000 with 5 night free. Try to go book to see RC Osaka rates.

App deletes everything and have to start over from scratch. Every time I change date or properties the app deletes everything and I have to re-input city, dates, number of travelers.

About to book STR Osaka with points but message says cancellation time has passed for April booking? I have noticed this a lot with Marriott and immediate no cancellation policies with points.

3) go onto website via my mobile phone. Suiran LC shows up but no points availability for dates I want. Try to change dates but site crashes. Have to reinput everything again. Happens several times.

4) STR Osaka has points and normal March cancellation deadline.

45 minutes later I start to write on FT. Forgot to mention this is day 2... Yesterday I tried for 20 mins too but every time I clicked dates flexible the system crashed and I had to start over. I gave up yesterday.

No laptop at home. I use mobile for everything now...except when trying to book Marriott properties! Will go to office tomorrow not today. Will check if LC Suiran available, esp on points.

So we have to go to multiple platforms and devices just to make a booking.

I can't believe Marriott chose the cheaper, archaic IT system than Starwood's. Foolish. When does HBS case study come out?

I’d like to point out the Iraph Sui in Okinawa is STILL broken. Basically there are points associated with it, but no category, so it’s not bookable. Two months I’ve been trying to book it!!! What the hell?? :(

Actually, they chose Marriott's less than 2 year old cloud-based system over Starwood's legacy system. Marriott's MARSHA mainframe system was put out to pasture last year. As anyone who has been around Marriott for awhile knows, the website started going downhill about this time last year, which I believe is when they made the cutover. Trying to re-platform their system + trying to do the merger was just too much at once and we're seeing the train wreck that it is

Wow, their system is only 2 yrs old and this is the best they could do? :eek:

Logged in just now and instead of upcoming trips, there's a suitcase icon. Click on it and it displays Find & Reserve, non-targeted offers and then my points balance and other profile nonsense. Have to scroll through all this to actually see reservations. How does this crap get through any layer of testing?

Had almost only hilton stays since the merger. Trying to book a sheraton hotel trough marriott.com:


We're unable to locate this Starwood Preferred Guest® account, or you have entered an invalid SPG number. Please re-enter or remove your SPG number, check that the last name you have entered below matches the name on the account, or contact us for assistance.

this must be a joke xD my accounts are linked and merged !

30 minutes on the hotline and they say they have they same problem when they want to book any SPG hotel with my account.

They made the booking anyway and forward my information to the hotel.... I bet i have to contact to get the stay credit !

I already regret the decision to book Marriott instead of hilton this time...............


Anyone experienced the same issue ??

Hey, at least you can login. I just get 401 Authorization Required error message!
