Here is another example of Marriott pulling a bait and switch, but this one is even more infuriating, as the advertised rate is not available at all, not even as a cash plus points rate. I am not sure if this should even count as a "glitch" or if it is being done deliberately.
https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...185a827ecb.png Westin Dubai showing as from 100,000 points for the stay. https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...03909b4aeb.png Click in and it is now from 120,800. Absolutely ridiculous and dishonest tactics. If I change them to March however it matches. Very strange |
Tonight under My Trips, I got a 404 error! Then I tried to access it from another area - this time got Access Denied. This was on FireFox.
Opened a Chrome browser, I was able to go to My Trip but very slow. Took 2 tries to cancel a reservation. Thankfully the 2nd try succeeded and the reservation was canceled, even received an email confirmation on that. whew. Meanwhile, FF remains getting 401 Authorization denied error even just trying to go to Marriott.com |
FNC was used for 5th night of 5-night booking
I was trying to find out why my free night certificate (35K Points) disappeared. I talked to a Titanium phone agent. She was very rude. The only offer was to take out the certificate from that reservation in question, instead of investigating a little bit further.
This was a five-night award booking with 5th night free. I did not use the certificate as part of the payment in the original booking. I made a date change and the certificate disappeared from my account. After hanging up the phone with Titanium agent, I found these two strange things in the booking: The certificate was used for one of the five nights. I was not given the 5th night free. So, I canceled this reservation and rebooked. |

Yeah, the website isn't letting me sign in or search for hotels. Using the app tells me there are no properties available for the days I select at any location.

Received a reminder from a property on a stay today that I have cancelled on website 5 days earlier.
Double checked email inbox as well as account online - did receive cancellation confirmation and the property is listed under Cancelled tab. Made a screen shot of that. Called the property, accounting dept voice mail box was full. Changed to 0 and was transferred to FD where a clerk named Natalia looked up the reservation and confirmed it was cancelled. She said the property has a list for upcoming stay and the system would send out the Covid info to the guests on the list... but my reservation is shown as canceled, so not to worry about it... Whew. I dont know whether this is the system failed to convey the cancellation to the hotel or not. |
Trying to make a booking today and the website and app are both not working correctly. How hard can it possibly be for a large company like Marriott to have a functioning website and app? It seems like it always has issues and it's ridiculous.
111 pages in this thread talking about issues. They really need to sort it out. |
Since last Friday, the app on my Galaxy 5 started to 'act up' - I could not sign back in, could not really do much. I tried to un-install and then bring it back - it did not work either. Managed to sign in on the desktop version of marriott.com, however it took several attempts. I do not know what is going on.

https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/marr...1#post34664161 Maybe if some of Marriott’s customers/hotels started complaining, they’d do something about it. I think I will ask the hotel I’m at to report it. |
can't see reviews
for the last few weeks I can't see reviews for any hotels. When I click on reviews it takes me to a scrool down page for the hotel but no reviews - even at the bottom. Has anyone been able to see reviews of any hotel on the marriott website?

Website appears to be down. Non-stop access denied errors whenever I try to do any search. Good thing I have my room booked for tonight but I need to book for next weekend and have to buy tickets to a concert but can't do that until I know if I can afford the Marriott rates in the city I'm going to. Hurry up, horrible Marriott IT, and fix these issues.

I've managed to log in, but under upcoming trips (I have 3): it says:
We’re temporarily unable to display the information you requested. Please try again later. |
Was able to fix my problem by completely clearing cookies in Chrome. I figured this out only because Marriott.com was working fine in an InPrivate tab in Microsoft Edge.
I couldn't even login to Marriott.com on Chrome --- access denied. After clearing cookies the problems are gone. No clue what their horrible IT department broke this time. -RM |
