Just had 2 separate stays at the Sheraton Wild Horse Pass, and one the first stay got a standard room on the 4th floor which was quite nice, and on the second stay, got upgraded to a sumptous suite on the first floor which looked like a small apartment ^ Even got comped the valet parking since I arrived at the hotel at around 11:30PM.

The bath amenities in the suite were all Molton Brown, my favorites ^ ^

During the first stay, ate dinner at Kai on their outside terrace, and it was one of the best meals that I have had anywhere for a long time. Kai is definitely one of the best restaurants in Phoenix, but it does help to be on expenses account to eat there

Take a Pass on this hotel

I just returned from a trip to Phoenix. I would say this hotel is average and that there are many nicer resorts in which to stay in the Phoenix metro area. I have stayed in three other Phoenix resorts and the Sheraton Wild Pass is a big disappointment in comparison.

So, what didn't you like about this place or what places did you like better. Other than the out of the way location, this place is in my top handful.

We stayed one night in January after one night at the Phoenician. It was strangely quiet (a large convention was coming in the day we checked out). Aside from one front desk person who wanted to claim that late check out was impossible (until I said we'd be canceling our trail ride if we couldn't check out late because I didn't want to travel home smelling like horse), we had a great stay. The trail ride was fun, the pools and hot tubs were great at night, the fine dining restaurants were excellent. It's really completely different from the Phoenician, though -- our room was smaller (not upgraded) and it's not as opulent -- more focused on a southwestern feel. Others we met on the shuttle boat to the casino reported that the spa was great.

We had an unpleasant experience checking in. We did not receive an upgrade.
The food was good and spa was average. I have been to much nicer spas in Phoenix and elsewhere. The room was average. Later in the week, we were at the Arizona Biltmore. I felt as if I was in a different world as to comparing the two properties. I have also stayed at the Ritz-Carlton and The Boulders in Phoenix. Again, those two properties are in a different world from the Sheraton Wild Horse Pass.
This is just my opinion.

We had a really nice getaway here. Room service is good and food arrives hot, which is a major plus. It didn't hurt that they weren't near capacity. The fitness facilities, including saunas (wet and dry), are above average and their fitness personnel are excellent.

We were upgraded to a nice enough suite (exec) w/separate tub and shower, flatscreens, plenty of bottled water (replaced as used), tasty plat gift (cookies), and you must try the smoothies.

Let me pass this along: go now if you want to get the tax-free rate ($189) and a $50 resort refund. Well worth it, in my view.

I believe this offer is expired. There are some dates with rates for AAA members of $125, $137 all in.

Stayed there a couple weeks back....

The place is dead. The pool bar closed at like 7PM and the pool had chairs blocking off most areas.

Its like a ghost town... Stay there if you want solitude.

Nice room upgrade though... A suite.

That is why I was there last month. And the fitness center is unsurpassed.
