Adjoining rooms

Hi all,

I am heading to the Sheraton for 5 nights at the end of June - early July. I have 2 rooms booked under my name. I called both the hotel and the Plat concierge line - but neither could help me with booking adjoining rooms as they said special requests cannot be confirmed in advance. I was going to book a suite with an adjoining room - but seeing as that was not possible, I went ahead and booked the best available rate online and am going to keep my fingers crossed.

Does anyone have recent contact information for the front desk manager or someone else that I could send some correspondence to with my request for adjoining rooms? I just get the feeling the "notes" that I put into the reservation myself do not carry much weight.

Thanks in advance.

I have a slight nit pick with this property. First of all, I really like the Sheraton Centre, Toronto. The location is ideal, the people are friendly, the rooms are nice and I get upgraded fairly often now although I don't care too much about that. However, after staying here approximately 65 times over 4+ years, I still cannot figure out the policy on bottled water. Sometimes I have 2 in the room, sometimes 1 and now many times 0. It is NOT a huge issue and I wouldn't go elsewhere based on bottled water but I am curious if there is an actual policy for Plats and bottled water. Sometimes after a flight and cab ride, it is a nice touch to have.

Complimentary bottled water is not a Sheraton brand standard, even for Platinum members, except where the local water is non-potable. In that case, a minimum of two bottles of water are provided on a complimentary basis, per room to all guests. However, two complimentary bottles of water are provided in club level rooms, regardless of SPG membership level.

As of January 1st, there are supposed to be two bottles of water per room for purchase (either in the refreshment center or displayed elsewhere in the room) otherwise.

If any are missing, I'm sure that housekeeping would deliver them on request, where applicable.

From my experience.

As a Platinum you are entitled to Club Access which gets you 2 free bottles.
Aside from the mini-bar if available.

Normal Room: No Free Water
SPG: 1 Bottle
Club: 2 Bottles

If you have been upgraded but to a non-club level room (i.e. Suite on lower floor) ask the club desk to send up water, they should send up 2 free of charge. The day after they should automatically replenish once they have you down as a club level guest.

Thanks! I was actually upgraded to the Royal Suite which was huge! It was for 2 nights. Not only no water but no coffee either. I guess I should have called down but I don't want to be a pest. In the future if they try to give me that suite, I would turn it down. It was strange being in such a large suite by myself.

LOL. You know, of course, that this is utter blasphemy around these parts.

Worst ... Bathroom ... Ever!

Got upgraded to a suite at this hotel (room XX28). All was good until I stepped into the bathroom. The sink was round and 10" in diameter (just slightly larger than most airplane sinks)! The counter (not including the counter extension over the toilet) was 17" wide and about 22" deep.

I have come to the conclusion that his property sucks.

They have totally downgraded the club lounge happy hour snacks to two bowls of salad.
PATHETIC.

When i asked upon checkout, they said it was a management decision to cut costs!

How can you cut costs when you already overprice all the crap you offer anyway?!

Westin Harbour and King Eddy are a million times better for downtown Starwoods.

I was just there on Saturday night. I, too, was very surprised at the unexpectedly sparse Saturday evening spread, even though the hotel was packed. The spread was: two artichoke dips with backed bread things to dip them in, a cheese platter, plenty of vegetables and dip, hummus, salsa, and cantelope. The end.

Very disappointing compared to what they used to have in the past.

Surprisingly, I felt the morning was quite generously supplied. It was the usual toast, bagels, english muffins, croissants, muffins, boiled eggs, cereal, juices and fresh fruit, but it was very plentiful. It was like night and day compared to the previous evening......

What a disappointment. I used to love this property specifically for their lounge offerings.

Westin Harbour Castle doesn't have a lounge does it?

Edit: For those staying at the Sheraton Centre, please let mgmt know how you feel about this downgrade to the lounge offerings. As mentioned, prices are usually quite steep at this property anyhow.

hmmm, may have to rethink staying here over the King Eddy later this month. One of the attractions for me to the Sheraton Centre is the lounge.
