Hi,
I stay here very frequently and there are only very few of these weird layout suites. All corner suites offer a big bathroom with separated shower and window. Depending on which one you get one has either two tube Loewe TVs, or only one and one 32" flatscreen or only one 42" flatscreen. Executive suites also offer rainfall shower and small kitchen. Moreover the corner suites are very quiet and have a big balcony.
Club lounge is open until 10pm and food is also served until then which is better than in the Westin across.
Normally it is open from 6:30 am until 10pm but this thursday is bank holiday in bavaria thus they changed opening hours.
Breakfast is 4 star standard and nothing special in my opinion. Breakfast from the Westin across is by far superior.
A good point during winter is that they still have normal radiators and do not use the air condition thus the air is not so dry.
Renovation has started but the mainly paint the walls that's it. But except the carpets I do not see a need for renovation in the suites.
Ragarding the price one pays (this week is only 69€ prepaid) the hotels offer a very good value. But prices go up during fairs to 200€+ and there are lots of them in Munich.

Agree about the radiators!
Disagree about the restaurant breakfast - I think it is one of the better breakfasts around. Everything fresh and nice! If Westin have a better restaurant breakfast - then it must be very, very good, hehe.
Amazing view from my suite, very happy about this.
I do agree with what people say about the spa. It is prehistoric. Very old whirlpool system - the reception have to fill them for you and start them manually. Last night 3 out of 3 whirlpools were out of order. The steam rooms are personal - and last night 2 out of 3 steam rooms were out of order as well. The pool is nice and large though.

There is more than one English-speaking TV channel. I count at least four (CNN, Bloomberg TV, BBC News and Al-Jazeera English).
FYI:
They are currently renovating the lobby/front-desk area. Therefore the usual entrance is closed and you have to sneak in by a side-entrance. Also three of the six elevators are currently out-of-order because of this.
The renovation of the lobby area will last until April.

I live around the corner from this property and now that the lobby refurb is done (the club level was complete last year) they are now working their way thru the other floors. Summer is a very busy time for them due to the UAE folks coming here for medical treatment, so don't expect any decent offers. In the low season 89EUR rooms are the norm here.^

I stayed at the Sheraton a couple of months ago and had a pleasant stay. I had to fight a bit for the upgrade, though in the end got a junior suite with club access. While the rooms aren't luxurious they are renovated and nicely appointed, so given the price I think the hotel is a fantastic value.
I wrote a full review of the hotel with pictures, for anyone that's interested.
