Philadelphia West Marriott (Conshohocken, PA)

3/12/11: Free breakfast for gold/plat on weekends. They put your name on a list, no physical coupons. Very good breakfast including made-to-order eggs and sweet fresh blueberries. Excellent property.

I am glad to hear that this property still treats elite members well. I haven't stayed here for a few years, but I remember getting free breakfast on the weekends in 2008.

There was no weekend breakfast coupons the last time I stayed at this property in 2006, before all the concierge lounge cutbacks that occurred in 2008-2009 at a lot of domestic Marriott and Renaissance properties. They don't give free breakfast on weekends because they don't need to as a property with high occupancy.

Above quote related to a Philadelphia WEST Marriott in Conshohocken, PA.

When I checked in noone mentioned free breakfast. I went downstairs Saturday morning and inquired at the front desk and was told there were no coupons but my name was on the list for free breakfast and in fact it was (both Sat and Sun). So it pays to always inquire.

There was also a table outside the restaurant with an assortment of FREE full size and mini donuts for anyone. Midday the table offered large soft pretzels (Philadelphia style with a jar of mustard) which they replaced until early evening for anyone to enjoy. Also, on concierge floor rooms had refrig with 2 bottles of cold water which was replaced each day and near the ice machine on each concierge floor was a large refrig stocked with cold water for anyone to help themselves (not sure if this was on every floor). And at one point I was standing at the check-in desk and a man took 2 bottles of Poland Spring 16 oz water from the market, went to pay for them, and the front desk clerk said "Enjoy it, we don't charge for water at this hotel." That's all a first for me. Sorry to digress but it's a great hotel.
