11/15 ... as a Gold I was given Full breakfast in Restaurant (Booking Office)
I believe the statement above should be "Golds only get access if they're in a Chambers room"or Barlow Club room.

Here is the letter I received outlining the Gold Elite benefits on 9 December 2015; full English breakfast is provided.

We were advised at check-in that there no longer is an option of taking breakfast in the restaurant or in the lounge. Unless you pay for breakfast in the restaurant you need to go to the lounge.

I stay here a lot, very friendly to foreigners and kids. Last stayed here 12/19/15. Very good rates, many new restaurants open near here.

OPEN; High-speed wireless broadband internet access. Gold/Plat breakfast in lounge or restaurant downstairs + 1 guest (kids free). Evening cocktails 530 until midnight, food 530-730.

Hopefully somebody can confirm this information in the future, and it wasn't just a one time deal.

Renaissance Phuket Island & JW Marriott Khao Lak

Information is the same for both, but...
I was given free breakfast for my 9 year old child at both locations because of the Platinum level. Policy? Not sure, but I figured that I should mention it, even if it's only an $8 value or so.

I was checking the Vancouver Marriott lounge status, since I just found out I have a meeting in that area. I noted that the listing still shows "Vancouver / Renaissance Harbourside / CLOSED Weekends & Statuary Holidays; Cont'l brekkie; $5 upcharge; 2 i-net terminal; 10/28/14 update."

Not sure when it occurred - some time last year - but this is no longer a Marriott property.

Thanks for the heads up - have deleted it from the list.

Cheers.
