Delta Banff Royal Canadian Lodge - Check in agents claim they are a resort, thus no lounge or free breakfast. Hotel is very quiet, yet late checkout was restricted to 2pm and no upgrades were offered.

7th floor exec lounge undergoing refurb (along with rooms)
lounge currently located on mezzanine level above restaurant - which is definitely more spacious and arguably better - although plug sockets are lacking
i think they said refurb finished July (but could be wrong here)...
breakfast / evening nibbles and drinks exactly same as previous...

Currently staying at the Delta Toronto. When I checked in, the agent excitedly informed me about having access to "the best lounge in the country."
More relevant to this thread: In addition to lounge access, I was given vouchers for a full breakfast in the restaurant if I preferred. I am a Platinum.

Correct, but I was charged a reduced resort fee of $19 vice $29 for being an "elite." I am Plat - not sure if it also applies to Gold. I'm guessing they instituted the same discount the other JW (Desert Ridge) has.

Confirming that the weekend breakfast benefit at the Newton Boston Marriott is the same, and adding some additional details:
The lounge is closed from 12PM on Friday until 5PM on Sunday. It is not key accessible.
