MMs are not demand deposit accounts. You can technically write a check for the entire amount of your One account and they have to pay out. Unless you are willing to lose the interest (and maybe even pay a penalty), your money in that MM account is tied up for the term of that account.
It's easier to pay more interest when you know that the money backing it up isn't going anywhere

Update: The GCs returned to one of the SCs where they had been missing before. The ones that used to be Sutton are now Pathward, so I've been getting SSVGC instead. (Not sure there is anything wrong with Pathward VGC, just going with what I know).
Loaded from an SSVGC today for 250 (not full drain), BAU.

Get the permanent card and all is good until your misdeeds target a review, and who knows how long that will be
Why risk getting your account banned for a lifetime? Costal bank is already under scrutiny by the Feds for weak ML security and is apparently aggressive in shutting down accounts.
I suggest that you do what the last line asked

So the non-human time counter notes that you have both used the account and have not ordered a permanent card, so it sent you a reminder. Request the new card and all will be good. Ignore the friendly machine request and your account will be sent to human eyes, where your activity will be scrutinized by humans, which is not good for you.

CSR for ONE from abroad can't see any restrictions on it. I wonder if WM takes it upon themselves to block frequent ONE loaders?

Today tried this with another one of my phone # accounts and same problem. A QR code load gives some "can't complete transaction" error at WM. Never had issues with this card, barely used it in last 2 months and haven't loaded since early August.

Can you try a load at a cashier using your One card and a GC?
Let us know how you do.

I just received this: "After review, we’ve deemed it necessary to close your One Cash account. Please note that we can share no additional information and that our decision is final. If you have funds remaining in your One account that are due to you, we will disburse the funds within five business days."
The interesting thing is that I've had the account open since July and haven't hit it very hard, IMO. I loaded no more than $10K total during that timespan, and kept $5K of that in the savings account bucket. I did make some purchases with the card initially, but nothing since. I guess they did not like the $500 loads. Oh, well. It is what it is.

Last night someone else here MSGed me having similar problems. I suspect either there's an error in the system or they just started quiet-banning MSers, by disabling loads from QR code while not outright closing the card.
I will attempt this at another WM as a test but if it doesn't work, I'll just close and re-open and see if that changes things. I could also try smaller loads (like $200 but I doubt I'll want to deal with micro-loads going forward. way too much hassle)

And you thought that was going to pass muster with a banks Rats, especially a bank that is already under the Feds guns for lax MLing controls???
IMO, One is a lousy MSing vehicle unless you use it to liquidate cards without needing the funds immediately.

So basically all you did with the account for 4 months is deposit money and immediately withdraw half of it. You didnt buy anything with it or pay legitimate bills, I.e, not credit card bill, with it. You even probably ACHed the money to another bank account.
