If you are not MS'ing and you have enough funds coming in to the business to cycle the CL 20x, why not ask for a CL increase? If the business has the monthly cashflow to cover a much higher CL, I would think most banks would be willing to increase your CL.

Why did you leave Schwab? I hold all discount brokerage account: E-Trade, Fidelity, TD Ameritrade, Schwab and Schwab and Fidelity are far the best at service.
Schwab is superior to extra perks like special AMEX $200 credit and a great Debit card refunds all fees world wide.

SO why did you leave the best discount brokerage, curious?

What MS technique are you using?
I don't have business but I though MS was almost dead. I did teh Simon GCs and loaded to Wal-Mart but that got old as WM was 20 mile drive.

That is what I do (Simon/WM), but my post was regarding the GreatMongo who cycled his CL 20x with real business spend, not with MS. As long as the cash coming into the business is documented and enough to cover the 20x CL, I say just go ahead and ask for a much larger credit line and be prepared to present documentation if requested.

man. you really didnt care about your BofA account huh? WMBP and 20x cycle/mo with a huge CL (maybe 50k-100k CL?) in any case, we appreciate the DP. fun read.

also, could you let us know how long it took BofA to shut you down? with that volume, im curious how long it took because it gives us insight into the BofA due diligence process. did it take more than a year? chase seems to be the quickest and barclays the slowest.

thank you.

That's not me. Pretty sure it was another poster around where I first posted. I did lots of WMBP but never 20x cycle and didn't have a huge CL (20k).

oh my bad. i misread. it was TheGreatMongo however, it looks like you also got shut down for MS simon and cycling. appreciate the DP. same question though. could you let us know how much MS/mo (assuming its over 20k/mo) and for how long before bofa to shut you down? ive been doing 5k simon/mo on just one card for about a year now. im thinking of stopping or doing less because i dont want a shutdown. always thought 5k is super low, but thats just me. wondering about your experience. im sure in your case, bank bonuses, MS 20k CL + WMBP + going over CL is all part of the reason.

I don't think that $5K/month is an excessive amount of MSing in one account but, and this is a big but, what is your overall relationship with BOA. Are you a long term valuable customer i.e do you make them money by getting loans, having large balances in other accounts, etc. OR....

Are you sucking them dry with a credit card and bill pay with no other business. I have had a 30 year relationship with my regional bank which has been beneficial for both the bank and me.
I do about $5K/mo in MSing (mostly depositing MOs) into an active checking account which has been going on for at least 8 years without a peep. In truth, I wouldn't expect one.

If Chase shuts me down from MSing, will I lose all of my accrued UR points?

Yes. They shut down the account and you lose any points that have not be previously used.

Historically, Chase has given 30 days to move or use your points after being shutdown.

When the simon $1k cards came out (July??), the following months I would MS at least 20k a month on my premium rewards card up until November/December (after Walmart implemented their $8k/month for WMBP). I would pretty much max out the BP limits each month (5 on Visa and 5 on BofA rolling 30 days). I did cycle 2-3 times but maybe going to 25k (in total) at most each time on a 20k limit. As you can see, I was much more active than you. I think doing 5k a month will be just fine.
