I also have had problems with EMB deals. Sent lots of stuff and everything was fine until it wasn't. I had two issues. First, like other's already mentioned, they posted a deal with a deadline of for example 10/15. My package arrived 10/6. On 10/9 they said we are lowering the price of the deal and checked in the package at a lower price. Dealing with the support person is a losing battle when you can actually get a response which takes a week. After I finally did they didn't want to return after it was checked in. The second issue I had was I ordered some Airpods from a deal they posted to Telegram. The items arrived but were never checked in for a few weeks. When I asked about them they said I ordered the wrong item and it is me, the buyer that should have known not to order the wrong deal??? They offered to check in for $40 per unit lower. I even had a screenshot from Telegram showing the deal they posted. They said it's my fault. I'm not sure who owns this company but they seriously need to hire competent support people if they plan to stay in business. STAY AWAY!

is this common for BFMR for "not receiving" packages even though they show up as delivered?

ChocolateFactory Dec 8, 2022 3:21 pm

Shipped two laptops to BFMR with FedEx. Last scan from 3 days ago, it’s pending/in transit. Expected delivery was 2-3 days ago.
What’s the chance it’ll turn up? FedEx was telling me they’re “experiencing delays”, but 3 days without any scan seems like a long time…

Right now, since all vendors cancel orders except for Amazon. I do business with only Amazon. To maximize the profit, I first ourchase discounted Amazon gift cards and then used the gift cards to make purchases on Amazon. Any risks for this mode?

I do not mind sharing the website where I purchase discounted Amazon gift cards, but I am nit sure whether this is against the rules here. The discount is from 10% to 15%.

Yes, they'll eventually shut you down and make it hard or impossible to get your account balance back.

Any ways to avoid the shuting down? Thanks.

Gift cards in particular, especially over several hundred seem to get flagged easily. A one time $300 probably won't, but $300 a week, maybe. Doesn't seem to take into account the age of the account either, judging by DP's I've seen. Many users have suggested using multiple Amazon accounts.

I am shaking now out of fairness. I have used buyers groups a long before and spent over 100,000 USD. However, most of my previous spending was based on my credit cards. Recently, I purchased a lot of Amazon gift cards and then used the cards to purchase items for the buying groups. Some of those orders was delivered, some was shipped, and some ar epending. I am now really afriad that my Amazon account will be shut down. I indeed used different Amazon accounts, but I spent several thousands of dollars in each account. I hope that my Amazon accounts are not shut down.

I wouldn't worry too much, you're probably fine. It seems random on who gets hit, but large gift card buying over time seems to guarantee a shutdown. From what I've seen, you should get a warning first, an e-mail with orders cancelled and saying the gift cards were misused and taken from you because of it, but DP's show they're often not or they're able to get the balance back. Continuing would be a shutdown, but even then it seem to stay contained to that account. I haven't seen anyone lose all of their accounts in a long time, but not to say it doesn't happen.

I did $50k in total over WM, BB and 2 Amazon accounts. My BB account already got blacklisted. Long term, I feel like it's inevitable for them all to be. I do very little volume on Amazon now for that reason. I can't really afford to lose it.

Had the same issue with them. The box was damaged (small hole, the box appeared a bit squeezed), probably not the laptop inside. But I understand that they can't resell it like that, got a replacement. Told the merchant that I was not sure if the contents were damaged, but that I was concerned, given the state the box was in. It was fine. I could avoid sending photos of the damage and got a replacement order.

I had a similar experience. Bought laptop from Dell and shipped it to my address, then send it with my own UPS label (included additional insurance up to the value of the laptop) to BFMR. They send me email stating that the box came in punctured, provided the photos of the damage and requested the return label. I am not sure what are my best options now.

I can try submitting a damage claim with UPS, they would probably have to inspect the box and the item itself which may not be damaged at all. When trying to initiate a return with Dell I see 2 options for sending back: drop off and pick up. If I select drop off would they send me a label that I can then forward to BFMR? Also, should I do the return or have Dell send the replacement directly to BFMR?

What did you end up doing? It looks like you had the same exact scenario.

Yes, I had the exact same scenario. The return label provided by Dell was for Fedex. I asked a friend who has a lot of business with Fedex and he said the sender address doesn't matter. So the return label was for my own address in another state, but I just chose "drop off" and forwarded the label to BFMR. They dropped off the laptop in NH, no issues at all (well, except that Dell kept sending me reminders to return the laptop long after they had sent it).
Got a replacement order and shipped that one to BFMR. This time I put it in a box together with another laptop I bought, for extra protection. They've already paid me. I really couldn't be happier with them.

Thank you. Really appreciate your response. Just to make sure, you haven't tried asking Dell to send a replacement directly to BFMR? Is there a risk of doing that?
Also, I think it's not really a good idea to initiate a damage claim with UPS. It may take a while and they can end up denying it based on the fact that the laptop itself may not be damaged and I will loose 30 day return window with Dell.

ChocolateFactory Dec 14, 2022 12:10 pm

I was considering having the replacement order shipped directly to them, but in the end, I didn’t want to risk it. I was glad I had finally gotten some orders through. BFMR was also recommending me to have the replacement shipped to my own address. Of course it sucked that I had to pay for shipping twice, but it’s still better than losing the credit on the Business Platinum.

I also really didn’t want to file a damage claim with FedEx, the damage seemed really negligible.

Thank you so much for the comment. My Amazon accounts are still alive for now. I hope that it will live longer.
