Signing up to buy $1000 visa/mc gift cards
You can buy the $1000 cards on Simon's volume site. Their regular site only sells $500 cards.
If you're new, or haven't bought anything in a year, you need to register at https://www.simon.com/volume/register-consumer
As part of the registration process, you will have to go to a brick and mortar mall and buy at least $3000 in cards in person, as well as filling out some paperwork while there. After that, you can do everything online.
As of Nov 2020, Simon Mall Gift cards will only work for $99/swipe for money services at Walmart and many grocery chains.
$1000 gift cards are available indefinitely.

I called Simon a few days ago and they manually gave me access to the new cards I selected the Silver Innovation, I got them last night and I just realize that they are issue by sutton bank 😊

Rather, it is the servicer, namely BHN (Blackhawk network) which is the culprit. Incomm seems to be for the most part, issue free.

You are correct, I just came back getting MOs at my local store and the 480 dollars restriction is gone, I ordered two money orders in 1 transaction for 1000 dollars, fee included, and yes the cards are 1000 VGC, silver innovation ordered directly on the SM website, lets enjoy while it last...

Talked to customer service today. They restored $1k as limit and added a few more designs.

Silver Innovation is not great. Even with name on it, still looks like a gift card on first glance so when CSR takes a closer look they quickly see its not a bank debit. Black Sparkle never drew the same scrutiny.
Once I was out of town and went to buy a MO, CSR asked to see my card to ensure it was bank debit (her words), I showed the Black Sparkle and she said, "Oh yes, I recognize that one, go ahead and swipe"

Got the new Blue Fractal card today. Compared to the previous Diamond card, the “SIMON GIFT CARD” font size is larger, though the GI in Gift blends into the background color. Also, the “VALID ONLY IN THE UNITED STATES” is larger and more pronounced at the bottom edge. May depend how close a rep looks at it. Your thumb could hide the SIMON if you had to show it.

My local simon is not selling 1k VGC. They said its coming from HQ as they transition over to Sutton/InComm. Earlier this month, I was in ANC, they are not selling $1k either stating the same reason. I wonder how long is this transition going to take.

Anyone ever able to order more than 5K at once online? That's my cap currently which kinda sucks when taking into account shipping and processing fee
