Signing up to buy $1000 visa/mc gift cards
You can buy the $1000 cards on Simon's volume site. Their regular site only sells $500 cards.
If you're new, or haven't bought anything in a year, you need to register at https://www.simon.com/volume/register-consumer
As part of the registration process, you will have to go to a brick and mortar mall and buy at least $3000 in cards in person, as well as filling out some paperwork while there. After that, you can do everything online.
As of Nov 2020, Simon Mall Gift cards will only work for $99/swipe for money services at Walmart and many grocery chains.
$1000 gift cards are available indefinitely.

Anyone facing difficulty while registering the $1000 visa card issued by Sutton Bank purchased at a mall? I tried it at https://www.simon.com/giftcard/account_register.aspx , it says invalid card after inputting the card number, exp and sec code.

try again after a day or a few to see it'll go thru; although I haven't tried SMVGC issued by Sutton Bank, the similar one sold at a grocery store worked fine so far... what's the 1st 5 BIN #s on the SMVGC?

I was ready to order another batch of silver SMVGC when I saw the reports about Wally not working "again" so I decided to go to my old Wallis since I stopped purchasing MO with them since 2021, The stores are pretty much the same and I should add that my SMVGC silver innovation cards WORKS! I got a 500 MO at one store and another 500 at a different store, stay dry and safe out there (Midwest)

If they launch a $1,000 Sutton VGC that can be bought on site, that would be super fun and easier to liquidate.
