I got this message for the first time in a while yesterday: " This transaction was not completed. The transaction was not submitted correctly, or has been declined by your card issuer. You can try again with a different card or review your payment information for any necessary corrections."

I waited 24 hours to make another purchase attempt and got the same message again (usually it goes through after I wait a day)....

Anyone have any suggestions? Hope it isn't an actual ban.

Try good ol' Internet Explorer, worked for me...

Just try it again. It's happened to me too. Not to worry too much about it.

I had same issue. GCM said use Firefox. If that fails, check with your bank to see if denied.

have a dozen accounts. can definitely say the past 2 weeks i've been getting that error much more frequently but waiting 1-2 days has solved it. no idea what causes it.

I’m starting small and wondering what the best strategy for not getting banned. Is doing a single $500 per order every few weeks safer? I see many people here really max out their limit, does that not increase your chances of getting banned?

*slow clap increasing in intensity*

A dozen ...

I thought I was doing fine maxing out 4 accounts per month. Mine are for real people. Are yours all for yourself (i.e. same name, but just different accounts?) is that possible? Or you have 12 different real names with CC in those names that you churn through?

I have 4 household members that have accounts and I make sure we are AU on some of the more important cards so that we can each contribute to the MS. Then new CC under each name gets their min spend done on their account.

You make a mistake starting small IMHO. Make your very first order for 4k. Go big with the very first order to establish what kind of account you are. My newest account for a household member that is 18+xx months was an order for 4k and a few months later I just recently did an 8k order through their account.

Wiki says to start small.

When I first started last December when they had a deal for the Simons, 2 new accounts got banned immediately when I placed a $4k order.

YMMW how each wants to proceed.

I tjink safest is to start small (500?), then maybe increment by $1000 each order.

I usually get a call when using a new card.

Separate GCM and TCB accounts for both wife and myself.

One TCB to rule them all and in the darkness bind them ... sorry for the Tolkien reference.

While I do have more than one TCB account (hello sign up bonus offers!), it is easiest and without problems to use just one TCB account for all your GCM accounts.

As you state, YMMV, but, I have created 3 new accounts this year that all started with a bang. Only one of the 3 required a phone call for the very first order.

Changing to a different credit card NEVER generates a phone call for me. Man, that would be a pain if that happened??!!

Each of my 4 accounts gets at least 1 new CC exposure per month and many time 2-3+.
