Will be trying 2500 tomorrow with one that I had not used yet. I was able to debit card load tonight on it.

Edit: Successfully loaded 2500. Will be trying to load up to limit sometime this week.

I ran into that issue on Wednesday as well. Not sure if it was because it's a new card and account or if it a new daily limit being imposed.

I loaded $2.5k the day prior with the same card.

When you buy at CVS and load an initial amount, does that count towards the card's $5k monthly limit and/or one's $10k monthly limit?

I don't have any direct evidence of doing this but reading the limits rules, I believe it would count.

I was able to activate a Serve card today that was in the mail when the shutdown on my other used Serve cards came.

I’m so excited to have a serve and bluebird again after all these years! Hope shutdowns are no longer permanent!

Going to pick up a new Serve at CVS in the AM and see if I can open a new account as others are reporting success in doing so even after being previously shut down in the past.

Curious as to why Amex shuts us down even though there is some "manufactured" or "creative" routing of funds, specially since they have our ssn etc. It's not that we are anonymous.

I had a one vip which Amex blocked this week .
Looking at the various serve options (Regular serve, Express serve free reloads & Cash back) - any reason to specifically buy a specific variant or can we go for any? I usually loads VGC's or MCGC's between $1.5k - 2.5k a month and not more.

I have tried different email and user name still can't get approve...........

bigbirdbirdy May 26, 2019 1:27 am

My guess would be that they intend to make most of their profits off of swipes when the cards are used for purchases, which most of us here do not. A good amount of us don't even let our funds sit in the accounts for long which limits their ability to make money off our money which is something they probably don't particularity like either. Even if we are not really costing them any money, we certainly are not very profitable to them.

I didn't experience this myself with a registered unused card. 2500 first day and 2490 second day (did $10 online). Seems to work without issue but I cannot register for a new BB or Serve card online now.

stormpelt May 26, 2019 10:14 am

Question. Do new bb and serve accounts not allow you to withdraw money from ATM until you link a bank account? I couldn't withdraw money yesterday from both of those accounts - both new, that was the first time I tried to withdraw, balance is fine, but no bank account linked. But they were ordered online with SS number and everything, in my significant other's name.
