CVS used to sell the temporary Amex Serve cards with no fee before. I've been buying them for years now to get 5x/5% drugstore and then go use those (without registering) for many charges that wouldn't get 5x/5% otherwise. The CVS's that I visit now say $2.95 fee on each, AND when I tried to pay with credit card it was denied. The register said CASH ONLY. When did this change?? Anyone figured out a way around?

Is it necessary to cycle through cards to avoid stringing together months of maxed out FD/DG/WM loading? I’ve got $25k to do over the next 3 months and have 3 cards between wife and I. Should I max, ACH out, cancel and reapply? |
You don't have to cycle cards anymore. You just need two Serve per SSN.

Serve does NOT count toward min spend of AMEX SPG
Just got off the phone with Amex CS, they said I missed my min spend for the 125k SPG bonus by using Serve to load $1kduring my $5k spend (missed the spend by a couple hundred, didnt consider Serve as part of it but figured I was in the clear). No exceptions, guess thats what I get for not worrying about it. Over 50 card bonuses over the years, first miss.....
Be warned if you didnt know this already since Ive seen "yes" and "no" to this question so far. Its definitely a no, this does not count toward Amex min spend. Is what it is, but they also tried to hassle me for a Gift Card Mall purchase but couldnt prove it was for a giftcard. That part is a WHOLE different can of worms. |

I've been using credit card loads to put some ongoing spend onto the BBVA Amex spend. But this month, I think Serve charged me an extra $200 load but didn't credit my account for it. According to my credit card, I have a total of six $200 loads in March. But Serve only shows five loads. And the sixth one has a different merchant name ("Prepaid Serve" instead of "Serve Enterprise Inc". Both have the same merchant address of 250 Williams St in Atlanta aka Incomm). Has this happened to anyone else?
Serve's customer service is totally unhelpful so I'm filling a dispute with BBVA. |

So I loaded $500 to my green Serve via meta visa at DG last night around 8pm. No problem. Money is available (I didn’t use it). Stopped by another DG this morning to load another $500 and just get transaction void. It doesn’t even let me swipe the meta visa. ??? She tried 2 different registers. this is my first time loading any money since I got it and initially loaded $200 on temp card. |
More than likely it's a system or computer issue. You should be fine try later or another store per my experience.

This is normal. The system won't allow you to load multiple with new cards. Wait and try next time.

Any way to load a mastercard to a legacy account? Online says it only accepts 15 digit amex. Used to have a chase card attached but removed it to add a non amex mastercard.
