Is the monthly online debit/credit limit based on calendar or statement month?

I'm trying to get a clearer picture on which GCs work to reload Serve at WM. The stores near me mainly offer OVVGCs; I haven't seen any Metabank cards.

I'd love to just buy Metabank cards online, but I'm considering applying for an Amex and I feel that would just lead to my spend bonus being denied.

I could be wrong (won't be able to check until tomorrow), but I'm fairly certain I've seen "OneVanilla" cards (says that on the front), but then on the back, it'll say issued by Bankcorp.
Supposedly the Bankcorp ones can be used at WM to load Serve. I'll pick up probably a $50 one and try it this week since Chase Freedom has 5% back on drug stores (ie: CVS) and supposedly CVS doesn't provide L3 data.

Fortunately one of my local Grocery stores carries VGC issued by MetaBank, and it doesn't appear that it reports L3 to Amex (but it most certainly does report L3 to VISA).

The CVS near me has OneVanilla and regular Vanilla. Both are issued by InComm. Any idea if these work?

From what I've read/gathered from here and Reddit:
Incomm won't work for loading Serve at Walmart.

Any idea what AMEX really wants you to use these cards for?
 

The reason I ask, is after reading many posts here and all over the internet there seems to be no rhyme or reason as to why someone gets shut down. They let you transfer money from gift cards, they let you fund with credit cards, they let you pay bills, they let you transfer money directly to your bank, they let you transfer from card to card. They tell you you can load up to $100K per year. They could not allow any one or all of those things. I can see someone getting cut-off if they converted $100K worth of gift cards and transferred all the money to a bank account. Makes sense. But there are many cases I have read of shutdowns where they were doing around $500-1000 a month and using the card to pay bills. Is that not what the card is for? I am asking because I just received my first serve card. I want to move slowly and take what I can get without a shutdown. Just trying to better understand what AMEX true intention for this card is and what "use" they feel fits that criteria.

Common sense wins. Read its advertising and you know what this card is intended for. Actual practices are different stories.

Update on the free $15 offer. Purchased and loaded card at DG on 1/18, received real card 1/25, activated it same day. the $15 bonus finally posted 2/6!

This give me hope. Bought and loaded 1/25, real card activated 2/5... lets see.

Also, I'll ask again. Do loads from SPG Lux count towards Plat or do Aspire loads count towards weekend night?

There's a rash of reports in the last 24 hours on reddit of various WM no longer allowing VGC loading of Serve. I'll have to tempt fate tomorrow and see what happens.

I do not see any rash of this. It is business as usual today. If you have any doubts, go to visit a WM....

There was one comment about WM not allowing VGC to be used on Serve/BB, and even that user wrote that two out of the three WMs still let him load, but limited him to one swipe.

Bought an incomm vgc, went to DG1, cashier said they dont have the barcodes, drove to DG2 and the cashier had no idea what serve was, she looked through her book of codes and found nothing. What gives? Doesnt look like anyone else had these issues, is this common?

Both of our WM have now claimed "corporate" won't allow GC (Visa or otherwise) for loading serve now.
Just tried today.
They wanted to see the debit card and told me can't use GC any longer.
