As of 9/18/21: WM loads are no longer free. WM will charge each load (no matter what the size) $3.74 in addition to the money being deposited into your Go Bank account.
GoBank fees and limits:
Cash deposits are limited to $2,500 per day and $3,000 per 30 days, subject to a maximum account balance of $50,000.
The monthly fee will accumulate if the account is dormant. You must call the phone number on the back to close the account.
5/29/19 - There may be a difference in which card gets free loads at WM. Getting the card online through GoBank.com sends out a Visa version. This card may not allow free loads at WM. Reports are that getting the card directly at WM will result in free loads. If anyone can confirm this, please do so.

binnycode (closed, re-opened) - 7x $200 loads + 1x $700 load + 3x $500 over 2 days got me shut down. Called CSR and they re-opened my account, letting me know that "direct deposit would reduce my number of trips to walmart" lol!

I didn't see this called out explicitly, so I gave this a try and here's a DP.
Using a new GoBank MC from WM, I wanted to see if the direct deposit actually was required to keep it fee free. I had a $0 balance at the month mark, but the fee still posted. So now there's a negative balance of 8.95 on the card.

Another DP to share: a friend's Visa GoBank card that was recently opened about two months ago, was charged a fee of $3.74 to load $500 at Walmart (Southern California). But my much older Mastercard GoBank card that was opened in the summer of 2018 has no load fee at Walmart; it continues to have no load fee.
Is this a correctable problem, for example, if my friend manages to get switched from a Visa GoBank card to a Mastercard GoBank card?

Thanks. But in their terms, it says "The max you can deposit in cash is $2,500 per 24-hours, or $3,000 per 30-days". So DD should counts towards the 3k limit.

So I read there is a $2,999 balance limit on GD without direct deposit.
Is this new?
I have a WM MoneyCard which I only load with VGC at WM
and yesterday hit an error about exceeding load limit.
I've only loaded $1,600 in last 30 days so not velocity!
I would have been over $3K with this load attempt.
When my employer upgrades payroll system I'll be able
to split direct deposits, so then I'll send $500 every month
and if I've read right, that raises the cap to $10K.
