Count me in as another 1%-er as well. Only have the CSP & Freedom cards here. So the GCs BBnB carries are of great interest to me. Granted, $1500 in restaurant spend certainly won't take me a quarter. Some months it wouldn't even take a full month.
Just (re)started the miles/MS journey again and only picked up the CSP & Freedom cards mid-March and mid-April, respectively. Last time I MS'd was the US Mint $1 coins, which was a lot of fun. While the Redbirds may be more lucrative, there was something very satisfying about these large, unwieldy, heavy boxes arriving at your door.

Freedom is better than INK at least this year.
There is another 10% bonus for freedom this year. So 2070 * 1.10=2277 UR for freedom.

Starting in 2016, Chase is cancelling this perk and will no longer give the 10% bonus at the end of the year.
Your logic is flawed because it is only capped at $1.5K. If you do more than that then the Freedom is not better than the Ink.

Its going to be OBE after this year (2015) but the deal is for the Freedom card Chase gives you a bonus 10% points on all points you earned throughout the year. 2015 is the last year that Chase is going to provide this perk.

Thanks! I thought that 10% was something different. That 10% replaced the 10/10 for many I understand. Although they say they will end, some might get lucky. I mean I'm still on Chase 10/10. When they remove me from the 10/10, I'll close my checking account with them, finally

Not sure why the surprise. $200 VGC/MCGCs always had a $6.95 activation fee. This is not any different than buying VGCs/MCGCs via Ink.

There are a lot of "Dads & Grads" gift card specials at restaurants and if you go in and purchase you might be able to get a deal like extra $5 for every $25 in gift cards, so spending $100 gets you $120 of gift cards + 5% cash back on the $100 spent.
