Just got back from 3 different OM's. bought 1800 worth GC. Will go to WM evening to drain them. Also in a couple of places they are sold out and they will not be getting stock anymore. Only one place left which had many, will be going in the evening when the clerk people are changed and hopefully tomorrow too.

Went to 2 locations and only tried 3 x $200 at both. First one no hassles, rang up the cards, and scanned the discount code.
Cashier at the second one told me there was no promo unless I could prove it. Showed her the ad from one of the fliers sitting at the end of her checkout lane. She told me that was only good on 1 x$200 and 1 x $100 and proactively told me that this condition was not listed in the ad. After telling me this, she called the manager for the barcode, scanned it and seemed surprised that it worked.

I did 4 x $200 and so did my wife as a separate customer with her own Ink card. Each of us ran all 4 of our gift cards as a single transaction and got $40 off the order. I pocketed about $24 (rebates in excess of card fees) and almost 8,000 UR points. Not bad for a brief stop on the way to lunch, although I do still have to deal with Wally World to feed these cards to my birds.
Unfortunately, there were only three or four $200 cards left after we grabbed our 8, just a few minutes after the store opened. I'll be back tomorrow, but I doubt they'll have any left. FT is so popular now, the deals go quickly.

They're a pain. You have to manually set the PIN and at Walmart you have to hit a certain button within 1 second or the transaction cancels out. More info: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/manuf...bit-cards.html
Which MC does OM sell? Can these be used at the WM MoneyCenter ATM's? Are these the MC's where you set the PIN online or via the phone?

Ditto! and about an hour later my wife went back later and put me to shame and cleared the place out ($200 cards). I guess we'll have to wait and check to see if they restock at some point this week.

I have $1800 to liquidate, just put $800 on my GoBank at WM MC, can't decide whether I want to go BB, MO, or AP for the rest.
Almost had to fight the cashier at the last OM. His excuses, in order: 1) The register didn't automatically give a discount, 2) It wasn't in the ad he had by his register, 3) They change these gift card deals frequently so I was probably mistaken, 4) The discount I got on GCs that very morning at another store must have been a mistake. He finally called his manager and the manager read him the deal listed on the GC rack.
