Any experiences with Nationstar Mortgage? I'm planning on making the payments this weekend so that they all post on Monday. Has anyone tried that with this company?

I made the payments with 5 x $500 Onevanilla in 3 different days and it worked. The payment arrived when Evolve says it would. Since it's a partial payment, you will get a letter saying I need to make the rest of the payment so that they can apply that partial payment but you can ignore that.

Now Evlove put only 4 payments to the same payee rule, I need to fine other way to send the rest of the payment (over $2,000 portion). Serve does not take my 10 digit account number (saying it should be 5 or 9 digit...) when trying to set up the bill. Do you happen to use Serve to pay your Nationstar mortgage? If so, I would like to know how you set up the bill.

My mortgage is with Nationstar. Payments over multiple days isn't an issue. They hold any payments less than the amount due in what is essentially a non interest baring escrow account until the full amount has been paid, then apply the full amount to your bill. No issues with it all applying to principle or anything like that. Been using it the last few months with no problems.

I don't have a Serve account, but I do have Bluebird. I imagine they are using the same bill pay technology. But that is really weird, mine is set up with my 10 digit account # (just checked). I would always pay my Nationstar with Bluebird, no issues for the past 12 months. But that is weird it won't take the 10 digit #, have you tried calling Serve customer support?

As far as I know, Bluebird and Serve use the same bill pay technology so they should work the same. For the OP, have you tried adding it via all methods: website, app, and mobile website? Sometimes the different interface will produce different results.

Also I am not that up to date with the thread, but to pay my Ocwen Mortgage I set up a second account so that I could make 2 payments on Sunday with one and 2 payments on Sunday with the other to cover my full mortgage when it hits (otherwise they post it to principal). Maybe Evolve is really cracking down on multiple payment accounts, but maybe that is a way to get your 5th payment in?

I thought the same regarding the same bill pay technology but somehow it's not accepting the acct# as it did for my Bluebird account. Thanks, though. I will call Serve customer support.

Yes, your payee will be blocked if you use multiple accounts.

mjcohen82182 Jun 10, 2014 11:53 am

What if you only do 4 payments (2 from each account)? Any data points of these being blocked?

one payment can trigger it alone, but YMMV

The problem isn't the 4 payment threshhold. People have been blocked for using multiple accounts before that went into effect.
The problem is trying to get around their $1000/day limits by using multiple accounts to pay the same bill.
And once your bill number is blocked, no amount of new accounts created will let you pay it.

njdealguy Jun 10, 2014 1:59 pm

Just brainstorming if there can be a way to have a intermediary separate account to which 4 payments can be sent in addition to the mortgage, where from the intermediary the money can be forwarded to be applied to the same mortgage, as a way to pay > 2k in a month.

I'll continue researching to see how that can be done, like if evolve bill pay can be used to fund another "bill pay" account, or to a secondary mortgage account number that forwards to the first one (apologies if this seems like nonsense!)

I'm sure somewhere in this thread it states when the $1000/day resets. Does anyone know? Let's say it resets at 12AM EST. I could still make 2 payments at 11:40 and 11:50, then 2 at 12:01 and 12:11. Correct? So I wouldn't have to use multiple accounts. I just want to make sure all payments hit the same day so they don't get counted towards principal.

The past 2 months I just did 2 accounts. But I'd rather not be the one that gets cracked down on.
