So now Evolve is basically a [redacted] ChargeSmart.

I am hoping someone has an idea about this, i made a payment end of feb which posted fine (as additional principal payment) and then 4 more payments this month. Of the 4, evolve says 2 were rejected. How would 2 payments only get rejected when others went through fine. Does this sound more like an evolve issue?
Edit: does anyone know what time evolve cs is available? After selecting a couple prompts (1-2-1,1-2-4) It keeps telling me call cannot be completed at this time. |
Just got this from Evolve. Looks like it closes the loophole on USB MC.
Dear Evolve Money Customer, Last month Evolve Money implemented a 3 percent Bill Pay Fee. The Bill Pay Fee has been waived in certain circumstances, as described below, but it specifically applies to gift card payments. We have recently identified the following three gift cards that were erroneously exempted from the 3 percent Bill Pay Fee. Bank Identification Number (BIN) 407714 542837 542844 You are receiving this notice because you have used one of these cards since Jan. 1, 2015 without being charged the 3 percent Bill Pay Fee. To verify your card against this list, look at the first six digits of your card number compared to the above BIN numbers. If the numbers match, beginning Mar. 19, 2015 you will incur the 3 percent Bill Pay Fee on transactions funded by these cards. All previously scheduled payments or processed payments will remain unaffected. As a reminder the new Bill Pay Fee has been waived for most major debit cards, cash load packs and Evolve Money credits. You can continue to use these payment methods, as well as cash, without incurring any fees. |

I'm amazed they have enough volume of payments at this point to even worry about.

pure spite
With respect to US Bank Gift Cards, the fee is just pure stupidity, and effected strictly out of spite. They could charge a $1.00 fee, make money and get away with it.
3% is just ridiculous. Chargesmart.com is cheaper. Goodbye evolve. You are disgusting pig people. |

Don't be silly. FT and bloggers don't kill deals! Nope. Keep posting away people! Evolve doesn't watch this thread at all, not at all....

evolve
Don't worry. Evolve system has alway been full of glitches. Its amazing to me that they keep this service alive. Keep playing and you will find ways to MS through evolve. I wouldn't be surprised if their was a cc that ran through evolve without a fee. Thankfull that their is a real company behind evolve, otherwise I would be really scared to use it.

I've got a mortgage > $2999. Do you think if I schedule 2 payments, one scheduled for payment on Sunday and the other scheduled for payment the next day on Monday, that my mortgage company, Provident, would get both payments on Monday in order to combine them into one payment? Provident doesn't allow payments to be applied on different dates. The charge date for the 2 payments would be one day apart.

I talked with CENLAR a few months ago and they were adamant in secure message that they would not accept anything that was not full payment. I did get a $1 charge to go through as a test, but I didn't go further. My guess is it's CENLAR rejecting the payments. |
