unable to use vgc

I tried to save a Visa gift card on evolve to pay a bill, got error e709 "unable to verify all information entered is correct"

Did I miss something or is this the new normal?

thanks

the 3% fee really makes it not appealing to use over Serve Products.

I can make a small profit even with 3% fee due to credit card bonuses, also since I use redbird, no serve for now

but if vgcs no longer work for evolve too bad

It would be pretty bad if they double dip a fee after you already paid $3.95 for the RL.

Is there a list of which Visa GC work and which don't? I'm particularly interested in VAnillas from CVS.

The vanillas I got from cvs did not work for evolve

they do work for target red card

They DO double dip a fee after you already paid $5.95 for the Meta Bank GC.

Don't vanillas work on Evolve except you have to pay the 3% fee?

It's not really a double dip. The $5.95 goes to Metabank, while Evolve's fee is to cover its swipe fees. Evolve doesn't get the $5.95.

apparently not any more unless the gift card somehow has your address linked to it, not just a zip code

Pardon this question of mine but if you use a debit card to make a bill payment on evolve to earn miles on that debit card, what exactly are you paying if you don't have a mortgage?
I've been doing MS for a while but I'm new to this forum and new to the idea of using evolve.

You can pay pretty much the common bills that you would have in a normal household (cell phone, cable, power, water, etc). Just type in a payee for a bill that you have and see if its available. However I must warn you that Evolve is pretty much useless at this point.

I see. So pretty much another stab in the heart for GCs if its not dead already.
