US Bank Credit Cards do not show up as cash advance for Evolve, correct? Are there any credit cards that do show up as cash advance?

Are you sure you're thinking of Evolve?

I've never seen them take any Amex of any type at all, gift or credit or charge.

You are right, I just never used amex before and I never looked for the option.^

Evolve Money just sent me another reminder about the new 3% fee, as well as information about increasing the limit for the amount that can be loaded.

I am curious about whether prepaid debit cards issued by major banks will still be subject to the 3% fee.

Same thing happened to me when I added cards on Saturday. I added 3 credit cards and my PPBDC card, and all showed up as Debit cards (no fee).

But they seemed to work when I paid bills with them, and no fees showed on the confirmation screen. So I paid $2300 worth of bills, hoping for the best. The payments show as completed on the Evolve site, and showed up today as pending transactions on my credit cards. So far so good.

This is most likely a temporary glitch, but who knows? At the very least, I'm hoping the PPBDC card will stay attached with no fee, even if the credit cards get reclassified.

Yeah, I tried again this morning and payments went through. However, last night it gave me some error about in invalid PIN when I tried to use the CCs I added. Must have been a glitch going on with the upgrades. Nice to know about PPBDC being able to be added again. I (stupidly) removed mine in the early summer and then of course it stopped allowing them to be added. I'll have to give it another shot.

I have used my arrival+ to pay for $7K this week for this month's payments & next month payments. It is a great week except it cannot be repeat again anymore. :(

I tried paying a bill with a Reloadit pack on the EV website, and it gives me this:

"System error, Please try again (RTS_007)"

Now, I've used ReloadIt before on the EV website, and it always worked. Any ideas?

False alarm. I tried again just now and it went through.

Doesn't the 1 payment per month rule still apply regardless of debit/credit? How are people doing multiple payments this month?

According to Evolve's transaction limits page:

Individual bill pay dollar limits include:
$999.00 for a single bill funded by a debit card and/or credit card
Monthly payment limits include:
1 payment per month for a Financial Services biller using a credit or debit card within the dollar limits listed above.

Also the Wiki says:
The limit is based on charge date, not payment date.

You can have pay twice if the account is not Financial Services biller. In addition, you can prepaid for March bills. I paid my March's 2 mortgage bills($999 each), 2 529 contributions, and prepaid 4-5 months electricity bills( $999), 3 months Macy's bills,... etc.

Anyone tried an OV yet? Are they getting charged a 3% fee?

DaveInLA Feb 24, 2015 10:19 am

My payments on Citi TY Pref card from last week posted today as purchases. I think today is the first day of 3%, correct? I wish I had been more aggressive in pre-paying bills. I never attempted any mortgage payments.

That's great news! Anybody tried a Kroger VGC/MCGC yet?

Just now I was able to (pre)pay my State Farm Insurance and PG&E bills with VGCs from Staples too, no fees incurred. These were my second Evolve payments to those two payment entities this calendar month. I tried to send out additional payments (thinking I discovered a loophole) and got: "You have reached the maximum monthly number of payments (2) allowed for debit/credit payment to this bill." Wish I knew sooner that I could have been doing two monthly payments to State Farm and PG&E all along.

I was unable to send a 2nd payment for the month of February to Mercedes Benz Financial Services. "You have reached the maximum monthly number of payments (1) allowed for debit/credit payment to this bill."
