Evolve Money

Last two months I have been combining evolve funded by VGC easily obtained from CVS with BB funded by direct deposit from payroll for mortgage. WM is not that close by when home. Point is BB works great to pay WF mortgage in excess of $2k in the exact amount. Since I have timed it well all hit within in a day or two in exact amount which WF applies. This is another good way to avoid checks or having to call for transfer from WF checking.

Anyone else having trouble with Evolve today?

Woke up this morning to a text that my payment had failed to my natural gas company. Using a Staples rebate VGC. Set up the payment last night for charge today (figured that was close enough).

So, this morning tried to redo the payment. Search for a day that had a charge date of today (this payee has express payments). Scheduled for Wednesday with charge date of today. Enter all the details (correctly) and get the following message:

Error
Please check that the card information you've entered is correct (CA14)
I've triple checked everything and its fine. Checking the staples VGC website shows absolutely nothing on the card (no auth hold, etc).

I've got another Staples rebate VGC which I'll probably try, but wondering if others are having the same issue.

Make sure you're using the name/address that the Staples card was sent to.

Newb question- I forgot to wait ten minutes between two $200 payments. My second payment with evolve failed. But then $200 balance was taken off my GC.

Will the $200 go back on the GC once the failed transaction clears?

TIA

The trick is to select a future date (other than Today's date which will incur express fee) but will be charged today. Sounds confused? Just try with different dates and you will find out.

i didnt select today's date, i selected a day or two after. (tried both) and they both failed.
didnt select same day as it's considered express.
any other suggestions? Thanks

Is there a lightning bolt? Go three days out. It should show the charge date as today.

i dont get charged as long as it's say one day out.
it does have lightening bolt as its an express payable merchant.

Go three days out. Look down in the bottom at the day the charge will be debited. Odds are, its today.

I personally have had all my recent payments to express billers fail with GC. I found a source of RL recently, and those always go through perfectly.
