I knew about debit only, then this morning I came across three blog posts where the poster stated he/she was able to use Citi AA cards with Evolve and hence my attempt to use them.

Did he warn folks not to mess up the Staples $200 GC through online portals? LOL. Before I could even get one purchase in (cuz I was out of country), the deal was dead.

yea, evolve shut that glitch down within a few days of the blog post. Im sure they hemorrhaged money that weekend.

new (unstated) Evolve limits
 

Been paying health insurance bill with VGC. Pd $1k/day Fri, Mon and Tue with 5x $200 VGC each day. Tried to do again today and first $200 payment was denied. Called in, they said I needed to verify the biller account and source of payments were in my name. Sent them that info. Called back and was told was okay to resume paying bills, but were suspended from paying that one biller any more till 7/1/14 as had exceeded some limit (unstated) on number of payments to one biller per month, and thereafter I could only make 4 payments a month to that biller.
Not sure if max payments is 10 (number had done in June so far) or 15 (number posted in June so far as first 5 were done 5/30).

Anybody else have any info on this?

I pay 2 mortgages to WF, 1 is $1830, the other is $1160. Total is just under $3000, and I've been using $200 VGC as well. That would require about 15 of those cards. If there's a monthly limit of 10 cards, then that'll force me to look for another strategy. If the limit is 4 cards, then I might just use MC.

Ive used evolve to cash out small amounts on giftcards, and paid up to 30+ times to my WF mortgage, so either its specific to the payee, or something that just happened within the past four days.

I'm still waiting for my VGC from Staples, so haven't made any payments this month yet. May was fine for me. Has anybody else made multiple payments in June? Any problems like the poster a few posts up?

They are now forcing limits on this because of the high volume of payments.

Received notice from Evolve that all further payments to Wells Fargo have been suspended for the rest of the month and a 4 payment limit per month has been put into place starting July 1.

Oh, evil people. Seriously.

I haven't received any such notice. I wonder if it's targeted to the people with truly high volume. If it's not targeted, then the rest of us won't be able to make payments to WF in all of June? And starting July, only 4 per month? That'll cause people to either create new accounts and/or use credit cards instead of gift cards so we can pay greater amounts.
