Unless you actually registered the card, I don't see how MetaBank would know who you are.
They swipe your AAA card and your CC - maybe these get transmitted to Metabank? Also, some people reported getting asked for their DL's.

I was specifically told that they register the cards in your name and that the person I give them to would have to call to have the registration changed.

Possible MS?: AAA - no processing fee giftcards - Nov / Dec

Bought a AAA VISA travel money card at Chicago Motor Club AAA office in person 11/2012, with a Citibank AA cc. Posted to my cc as a ca. The clerk said that is what happens when you purchase with a cc.

Yes, do share. I'm curious what I might face in early December. With the size of my purchases, I can't imagine that I avoided being blacklisted if the card issuer is blacklisting people.

+1. I've done about $8k over a couple of weeks. Multiple CC's, no single transaction over $1,200. I figured this was small potatoes, but maybe not.

Per person (meaning over the life of the deal), or per transaction?

Had you already hit $2k?
