I'm sorry I'm sort of a noob when it comes to the slang around here. I have been buying the Vanilla Reload cards for a while now at CVS and just last week was told the same thing as everyone else already knows. "Cash only." So what cards are you guys purchasing now that you are still able to load onto your bluebird?
Is it the same $500 limit on these cards? I like loading my bluebird and paying my student loans while getting miles for it. Thanks in advance for any help. |

OneVanilla Debit (VGC) at CVS. $500 per card, fee $4.95. Max purchase at CVS is $5K per rolling 24 hr time frame. Then you load to BB at WM. I'm not much help there, since I've never done that. I just do bill pay with OV at WM. Perhaps someone can add a link to a BB thread... |

I was going to post "read the Wiki", but in this case the Wiki just doesn't answer your question.

You go to any register or the money center and ask the cashier to load it. They swipe the BB card and ask you how much. You confirm the $$ amount on the keypad, then swipe your OV. Use any random 4 numbers for the PIN. Receipt prints. Done.

a c'vs in my town where they had always allowed me to purchase vgc with cc today denied my transaction. They claimed the store mgr received a call from loss prevention and gave instruction to cease selling gc via cc pymt. as with vrs', i think vgc will also go the way of the dodo bird too.
btw, circles and arrows all the way around. another thread just posted today. |

While I've had no issues buying VGCs with a CC at our formerly favorite drugstore, the supply really seems to have dried up. One store was completely out, another I had to really search before I found one hidden behind some AGCs. Never had any trouble finding these before.

Yes, people would have changed their buying habits :-)
While i've never seen anyone buy (or even pickup/visit the gift card rack) a VR when I was there (a busy CVS), there surely are a lot of VR cards on the rack and now even next to the cash register at one of my walkable CVS stores... When I went in yesterday, I couldn't find any OV cards, but found a VGC (variable for US$4.95 free / silver coloured). I figured I'd try my luck, and this morning I was able to add it to my BB account at a Wal-Mart register! -jeremy |
