I've had good luck with VR and have conditioned my credit cards to accept the purchases at CVS. Now that I am successfully running $5K monthly through Bluebird, I would like to increase spend to $10K monthly. Is there any means other than having a relative open a second Bluebird or is there an alternative to VR that I should use?

Most ppl can litterally count the number of CVS stores within (sustainable) driving distance from their house or place of work on One hand.. That's five fingers... Aproximately 5 stores.
Was it neccesary to make a spreadsheet of a handful of stores that are a go/no-go? Putting aside the questions of your short term memory, and most importantly, was it necessary to post it on the web for posterity? If you wanted to highlight you excel formatting skills...mission accomplished. What color is that bluish gray? Its pretty... Snark works a lot better when you're literate. Have a nice day. |
Talked to the manger at one of my trusted vanilla suppliers yesterday. They were out but were going to get a new shipment this week. He said that they are not going to keep the cards on the rack "since people are stealing them and moving them all over the store". They are going to keep them at the register, you have to ask for them.
There is the old saying that "pigs get fat, hogs get slaughtered" - we might be moving towards the slaughter phase if people continue to behave stupidly. |

Well, here's my 2 cents on posting availability info... When OD was selling VR and variable load gc that one could buy with a cc, I posted on a blogger's site which particular store had these in stock. I did that on a Thursday night after buying a usual under the radar amount of 1k. That following Sunday I was driving by the store and stopped in to buy another 1k. The gc rack was empty of what I wanted. Went to manager to see if they had more and he told me no they didn't because they sold out the. $15K worth that they had the day before. He heard somebody say that they were "gaming Chase CC's" to get a five percent rebate and he didn't know when they would get any more.
Bottom line, that was the end of VGC and VR with a CC at OD. So, I guess that I am saying that availability should not be posted with a specific store but could be posted as. 'Available in DC'. Yes OD did stop selling VR but that ended for me as soon as it started. BTW, I have two pharmacies that always have VR's for me....... |

Went into a CVS a couple of weeks ago and there was a woman in Islamic head gear, crying, with police there. I overheard the police tell her, "no mam, no one from the IRS would tell you pay your taxes by going to CVS" and she just kept crying saying something like "but he told me ...".
Flash forward to two different CVS's this week and I am being grilled by the cashiers/manager as to why I am buying beans and am I doing this for someone else. They tell me there is a scam where people are being told to go to CVS to pay their taxes by buying beans. They never meet the person. The person tells them on the phone how to load the funds to their particular card. This wasn't one of you guys on the phone trying to get your BB loaded was it? It looks like people new to the country, not used to how the tax systems works, or maybe come from countries where they are used to being thugged and threatened by the govn are being targeted. |

Then how about you take a good rereading of the original post from this person and redirect your comment about ad hominem where it belongs?

No biggie. Don't want to show it, don't buy. :) What I usually do is cover the number to make it easier for cashier to see the last four only. 95% of the time! they don't ask to see the card! and in my hand good enough. |
