Amazon Payments works
I am on my third month of cycling $990.00 each month between my account, my wifes and daughters account. Essentially $3,000 per month now successfully rotated thru the second month. Thinking of adding a fourth account to amazon for my son and making it $4K per month.
This makes hitting my spending goals easy and then banging out SPG or Chase rewards like ice cream. |
Just be careful as ice cream melts pretty fast when left out in the sun. Might want to use exposure protection.
 (shades for effect) |
Yes, Cardinal John Brown picked off two accounts when I opened four. I think he is actively patrolling new activity. He does not appear to be a robocop ala BoA.

These jackasses actually keep closing my wife's account I am guessing because of her ITIN, which is frustrating as I am not up to anything suspicious...

2) Yes. If you read Frequent Miler's posts that broke the news for most of us, he explicitly says this is okay. As well as several other threads that have mentioned this. 3) Why would you get a cash advance charge on a prepaid card, especially one that allows ATM usage? In fact, have you heard of anyone getting a cash advance charge on Amazon Payments? |

1) There's no need to post twice on 2 successive threads in the same subforum.

I am surprised they would ask you that. I could understand if there was a concern as if you made the charge or not, but once you confirm you did, that should be good enough. What you purchased or paid for with Amazon purchases is none of the card issuers business.

Interesting, thanks for reporting. I don't have any Citi cards but it seems from other threads that they are more alert to credit->cash schemes than some of the other card issuers. Good to know when planning minimum spend.
I got hit with FR by amex too. I got approved for both SPG BIZ & PERSONAL, made purchases of 1$k or more but paid off the full balance before due date, actually few days after the purchases. I had old amex simply cash card but they never cared! We both had to shut down our amex cards |

citi is much better compared to AMEX. Horrible amex is when doing large purchases. My wife gets FR 12 months after having her amex biz gold. why? because they saw a charge of $250 after many months and never cared about her excellent payment history.

I have heard others complain about Am Ex but I never got hit with a FR when the mint was around. I was buying a LOT of dollar coins on eight different Am Ex card numberss (I had a delta and a hilton am ex and had family members that had other cards) and never got hit with a FR or questioned. I paid both accounts at least weekly (I had a lot of business epxenses I put on the cards as well and would just pay them off as soon as I got the company reimbursement check) so not sure if that helped or not.

Same here. I ran all sorts of weird charges thru my AMEX cards and never heard a peep until my 1st purchase with the new HH Amex. $1k @ the grocery set off warning bells (yes, I know - dumb on my part) but I was able to talk my way out of the FR simply by telling them the truth about what i was doing. Not a word since.
