Haven't heard a single peep from anybody at Amanfayun itself, which is very concerning especially when we're spending almost 2k a night there currently. At least they have a GM I could talk to.....
GM is Christophe Olivro, formerly of Amangiri and most recently Amanpulo.
You can also drop him a note re Amanfayun, as he is the Area Director for Aman China.

Also, unanswered emails for 3 weeks sounds a bit strange - surely your TA should be able to step in here to push them? You mentioned he/she has already tried but to no avail; that simply doesn't sound right to me...

Finally got responses from Amanfayun after our Aman contact CC'd in a whole squadron of Aman corporate folks and managers Perhaps not the ideal beginning but, hey, they are very communicative now at least...

The "security token" error means the photo was too large -- please downsize and try again!

I hear that Roland Faisal of Aman has announced that they will be launching a second brand in the not too distant future.

Wink

Btw. seems like Aman is struggling with staff in China. Only the Shanghai property (which is excellent) has a GM when we have stayed at all their properties a month ago and it shows. I could not recommend going to Amanfayun as Amanjunkie - better stay at the Four Seasons in Hangzhou.
At Amandayan we had a phenomenal buttler which made up for lack of senior management.

Seems like lots of changes all round , hardware too somewhat for some .

Claudia S just left Venice to cover F & B from Swiss RHQ .

Michel B returns to AMAN for Nusa Villas while David G has moved on ..

I heard Kila will have a renovation. Do we know when and details?

Since Ed (understandably?) refuses to touch his Aman properties post AZ, I wonder who is in charge.

Maybe we will have to return to Jiwo. We loved that property anyways and had a great time with Jann at Dari last year
