Touzentei looks interesting as I like small homey types of restaurants. You seem to like tempura? Tempura Matsu in Kyoto is fantastic and it offers good dishes other than tempura. In Osaka, Ippoh is over 100 years old and feels like dining in a rich friend's home with great food as well
Thanks for the heads up .

Will see about Osaka , once we have figured out if to stay longer at Amanemu .

( Plus still sorting Wales & England trip from next week !! with HK ( MOHK ) too now in the mix )

Tempura is alright , these were suggested by the RC Kyoto concierge as we asked about some places nearby .
Will see if Matsu has an opening .
Then working on kaiseki , etcetera

From what people say it's not too intrusive, but I'll report back in a couple weeks.

One night stay, our ANA flight is expected to land at 4:30.

Have done all the usual spots - Prince Gallery, 4S, Park Hyatt. However, I needed something close to the station for convenience. That leads to only 4 good hotels - 4S, Palace, SL, Tokyo Station.

SL just for convenience and to mix it up. Plus free upgrade on booking.

Congratulations on your marriage !

Excited for you both starting your marriage circumnavigating the globe on SQ and quite a bit on safari !
Did you choose Hyatt because of status & points ??

Are you on SQ 2 SIN HKG SFO ?

Are you in suites ? GH is not quite luxury
How about at least StR or SLA - Valley Wing , RC or Capella for your one night in Singapore ?
PHNY is ok ..

Not stopping in HKG ?
Stay at FS , MOHK , the Pen , TUH .. ?

Do remember it ' s your honeymoon !

Correct on all. Globalist with Hyatt until Feb. No status with other chains, though there is no Hyatt at Seychelles and we had points for Le Meridian.

Suites from JFK-FRA-SIN-BOM
Business from JNB to SIN and SIN-HKG-SFO

Will consider other options for our stay in Singapore- tell me more! I wouldn't expect grand hyatt to be that special... rooms look so-so. But what's good about the others?

Our trip is crazy long and between it and the wedding itself (GH Kauai), no real time to do Hong Kong. Maybe a few years from now.

Thanks!

Looks like a great trip. I especially like the look of Singita Lebombo - the view from that pool! So, have you made friends with the Lanesborough now or do you just need a refill of the Roja Parfum toiletries? Take them... I dare you!

Just decided to pop down to CDMX for the holiday weekend. Doesn't hurt we got bookings at both Pujol and Quintonil.

Decided on FS, as FHR is offering a 3rd NT Free, so why not? I'll say this, I've been EXTREMELY impressed by their pre-arrival communication and assistance.
uggboy and bhrubin like this.
