Hi, I might be a little paranoid here but I am flying AMS-FRA-JFK(in LH J) with little less than 1.5 hrs connection time in FRA. I read somewhere there are different areas for Schengen and non-Schengen flights. Assuming AMS-FRA flight lands on time, would there be enought time go through security and make the connecting flight, maybe even some lounge time? Thanks.

That's sufficient. I frequently fly through FRA on non-Schengen to Schengen flights (HKG-FRA-CPH/ARN) and connections are usually around 1.5 hrs.
If you have any luggage, it's likely to make it through (I've never lost it once with LH/FRA). LH puts "HOT" tags on your checked luggage to ensure it's among the first off the plane at FRA to make the connection.

First time connecting through FRA and MUC and would appreciate some advice. In late June, I will be taking LH 401, JFK-FRA, arriving at 5:35AM, then taking FRA-MUC, 7:05 AM - 8AM and continuing onto MUC-LWO at 9:35 AM. All LH flights in C class with the last flight on Cityline.
There is a direct connection from JFK to MUC (LH411 ) and then MUC - LWO (LH3172).. Departure times from JFK are within 1 hr differnce.. fares i see are also similiar..Any reason to go via FRA to LWO since u wont b spending any time at all in FRA.. also from my exp and wht I read in FT, transitting in munich is a better experience .. and also u won't hv to go thru immigration even once , forget twice as is the case if u go thru FRA..

Pre-paid phone calling card to call to Canada
My Lufthansa flight from Canada will arrive at FRA (Terminal 1 / Pier or Concourse B). I have to walk to Pier or Concourse A to catch a flight to Venice. Is there a shop along that route where we can buy a pre-paid phone calling card to call to Canada from a phone booth in the airport?

If you misconnect due to a late arrival from BCN then it's LH's responsibility to get you to your destination, as they are responsible for you're late arrival. If, at BCN, it looks like you'll have a problem you'll want to discuss it with the staff at BCN to see if they can preemptively re-route you.
Even in the event of weather LH is better than the US airlines about re-routing you, but they do try to keep you on a * Alliance carrier.
That said, if I really had to be in Houston first thing in the morning on September 6th, I'd take an earlier flight out of BCN to have a more comfortable connection.

If your incoming flight is on-time, you'll make it. You'll need to go through Schengen exit immigration and then a security check.

I'll be flying SFO-FRA-CPH-BGO on May 6-7 (LH metal into FRA, SAS metal onto CPH).
Today's arrival and departure are both in the "B" gates; it would be wonderful if the same were true on May 7th. I'll have plenty of time between flights (2h 40m).
I assume I should first get through any passport control and security checkpoints, then get to the proper gate area for my SAS flight.
Once I'm there, my question is this: is there a LH lounge with showers in all three gate areas? I'll be flying biz and hoping to use a Systemwide to upgrade to F.

However, if what you want most is a shower the best option would be the Welcome Lounge which offers 28 showers and very nice breakfast.

dash to train station and back?
another connection question with a twist. I have a 2-hour (well, 110 minutes)connection in FRA(inbound from Canada LH495, on to Venice LH4082). I've read all the way through this excellent guide and understand that I will at some point be outside the secured zone. At that point, I would like to dash over to the Fernbahnhof to buy a BahnCard for my minor daughter (have to appear in person to prove she's under 18). I will need this card when we re-enter Germany a month later by train. I have a general idea from internet research where the station is but have not been there.
We have carry-on only, but boarding passes are issued only onsite, not in advance. No status, coach seats.
What do you think are the chances I could do this, and make it back through security to the gate for Venice in enough time?

Fortunately, it'll be a Sunday morning, but high tourist season. I'll play it by ear. If we get a good tailwind and the crowds don't look too bad, we'll try it. Thanks for the advice.
ETA: I did some more digging, and it appears there is a train ticket center inside the terminal, here: DB TravelCenter (Reisezentrum) in Terminal 1, B Concourse, Level 0. This should speed things up for us, and I thought someone else might be interested. Can anyone confirm a recent sighting of this booth?

After spending hours trying to figure out the answer I need help.
PAX arrives from SEA LH491 at 9:15 AM and connects to FLR LH4060 at 11:30 AM in C (paid Z not award travel - not sure if that even makes a difference on LH). What are the lounge options for them such as the landside arrivals? I think Florence flight takes off out of B but hard for me to tell.
