Wow. So my question for next week will be RIMOWA or NOT, and I thought I have only to decide between 2A and 83A.

Eek...hope not. I have a MUC flight and I hope to get the new Rimowa kit. Fingers crossed.

Actually, I'm a stock broker so I do know a bit about timing purchases. What I don't get is why people usually don't wait. They have no advantage betting early - except for paying more in the end. Boggles the mind.

Care to explain the causality your're implying?

I was delighted to climb to the upper deck on our 747 last night, and see the prized RIMOWA amenity kits. Two colors were available. The navy black one is labeled "gents" and the silver "ladies". The only girly thing in the silver kit is the eyeshields. They are cream colored, and have "I <heart> Lufthansa" on them. (The silver kit would have matched nicely the silver lame Louis Vuitton loafers worn by the man who sat in front of us. I had to see them to believe them.)

I used to do that too. But ever after I got those angry looks from the crew and post 9/11 I do take the stairs even though it's much less manly.

Devilish. I generally only prey for ladies kits as they are filled with nice smelling stuff. But the black box is cuter than Antonio Banderas in Shrek #2 .. decisions, decisions ..

Hope you did not suffer too much!

Just got my dark blue one, today.
Really nice. Kudos to tcswede.

Also, I've just learned that my travel companion to NRT received two of them on her flights to/from SEA, so all is good.

Apparently, no Rimowa to/from MUC according to my Purser on yesterdays flight LH453 LAX-MUC. So, if someone has a spare one, I'd like to apply - arising expenses will of course be taken care of. Thank you!

I guess tcswede has received lots of "kudos" for having gone through more important milestones in his life than just having managed to ship your amenity kit

I reckon that "thanks" is more appropriate here
