The last op-up I got was in May IIRC for MUC-BUD from Y to C and I was on a full fare Y tix (I think it cost 50Euro less than a full C one) so LH didn't really loose any money on that one

Otherwise the last 2+ years nothing on LH, LX (okay except SIN-BKK-SIN), TG or SQ. well didn't expect any from SQ in the first place of course

Of course!

However, a friend of mine, who is an ordained minister (more like a preacher) holding a US*G, gets op-upped all the time on SQ...

It's forgiven

As for US.. they aren't bad as long as I just fly them between LAX-LAS/PHX because all other carriers suck there.

It was either TED (r.i.p. ) or American Eagle (except 2 mainline flights, totally unattractive times for LAS).

So I gave US a shot... double miles on BD don't hurt either.

I cant believe I'm actually recommending US Airways

Very correct !

Except the 2 mainline AA flights with an almost guaranteed upgrade to F, US Air is the only legacy carrier that flies there from LAX.

There is always WN though which I choose for flights under the week but on the weekends I need my priority security and lounge to escape the masses (especially at LAS).

The only way to make a USAir F flight bearable is to know that you are getting 625% with BMI's Diamond Club (...if you are in the >55k club...)

The last time I flew them out of LAS the FA made an announcement:
"We are expecting a bumpy climb and if anyone has a hangover and needs to puke, let us know now to hand out the barf bags!" ... very classy - NOT !

American Worst LAS crews... What do you expect

Actually I'd raise my hand and help myself :

It's the perfect way to keep an arm's length relationship with your seat mates. And thus increase your private space!
