Did they post after you paid the annual fee or did you only receive the miles after complaining and faxing in the promo sheet?

The annual fee was billed on my December statement which I paid in late December. 20,000 miles plus usage miles were posted to my M&M account within two days of the December statement closing date.

I faxed a letter requesting the additional 10,000 miles and included the screenshots in early January, and the miles were credited along with my January usage miles a few days after the January statement closed.

Hi hogo 74,

can you send me the fax number that you sent your request to. I believe you still have my email address. Thank you!

I got this CC offer and I am confused on the 2 miles per $ for M&M integrated carrier ticket purchases. Who are the integrated carriers? Is this just OS and LX and a couple of smaller airlines or does it include UA and other *A airlines? Can't find anything on the website and email to LH M&M hasn't been answered.

The M&M integrated carriers are: Adria Airways, Air Dolomiti, Austrian Airlines, Croatia Airlines, LOT Polish Airlines, Lufthansa and SWISS.

The double miles register when you buy anything from the above airlines. So if you buy a ticket on United but get LH to issue it and charge the ticket to the M&M MC, you will get double miles. The same applies for duty free purchases onboard LH and buying something at the Worldshop in MUC & FRA. I got double miles for all of the above

Thanks oliver2002! I thought it was only those airines but I wanted to make sure. One more question...LH however typically doesn't issue ticket on UA for domestic flights in the US do they? I understand that you could fly on a UA medal and book it via LH to get double points on international codeshare flights but there isn't a way to get double miles for domestic UA flights as a US resident with this card is there?

Correction you get double miles for your spend on the card. So if you buy a 100$ ticket and make LH issue the ticket and charge it to you, you earn 200 miles instead of 100. The miles earned in the flight still stay the same.

LH can issue domestic UA tickets, problem is you won't find an LH ticket office anywhere in the US anymore. LH.com used to allowed UA bookings but that went away about 3 years ago. You can however purchase UA tickets at LH ATOs: http://www.lufthansa.com/online/port...1096&cid=18002

Looks like they would have posted automatically to my account as well, but since I had faxed my request in early January and was credited in mid-January, the automatic posting in February was reversed right away:

FWIW, $79.00 Annual Fee for renewal Waived

I called today to see if they can waive my annual fee that was posted in my last month's statement. I did not say anything about canceling my card.
To my surprise, my request was granted after being transferred to Account Specialist. She gave a credit of $79 and asked me to keep enjoying the benefits of the card. My average spend on the card is around $1500.

M&M Credit Card in the US

So here's what happened to me recently (just yesterday).

When I applied for the creditcard just under a year ago, I was given a crummy credit limit of 2K which only game me the Platinum Card (2miles for every $1 - no companion ticket - all poop). I kept the card and have used it significantly. I recently sent in my W2's and the like and got an increase to 10K credit limit. I thought this would be Premier tier card now.

When I called Barclay's service desk, I was told I was still Platinum I told the agent that I was told once I reach $5000 credit limit, i would be given the World Card. She said the agent who told me that was mistaken. I would need to apply for the Premier Card again to see if i get it...and there is the possibility I would get a Platinum crappy edition again.

so my question is, has this happened to anyone? Also, my credit report now shows a much wider credit limit. Should I wait a bit and apply for the Premier (even though i have 2 perfectly fine credit cards....US economy problems anyone?? ) or should I close the Card and apply for the Premier??

I'm in a similar situation...I'm planning on reapplying in the summer for the World or Prem card...though I'm currently using the Platinum card to keep my miles from expiring...and if I cancel the Plat to apply for the World, I wonder what would happen to my miles in the meantime...

I know that the mileage bonuses "may not available to current account holders". If you cancel and reapply for a different card, are you still a current account holder?? Since the bank doesn't run the FFP and vice-versa, I imagine there's a fair bit of grey area...probably not to the consumer's advantage.

On the topic of the companion ticket, do you know anything about it? I posted a question not long ago about it and didn't get much of a response...there was the question about how the companion ticket has to be booked into H, but according to the fine print, it can be booked based on any economy fare class...a bit of a contradiction.

Good luck swy!

My guess is if you cancel the account (cancel the card that is) the account completely disappears. A new application means a new account. I actually check my credit report today and my credit increase has not yet been communicated to the Credit Bureau yet. I'm not sure what would happen to the miles id throw a fit if they threw them away as well.

The agent yesterday said they base their decision on the credit limit given to the customer plus additional "things". I asked what things are and she said she didn't know. I'll try to get a supervisor on the line today. I dont see why they can't upgrade the card and send me a new one. Other banks do it.

I'll worry about the companion ticket when I get a new card I guess.

Well, like I said...good luck. Definitely keep me posted as to how they handle the card upgrade and mileage expiration!
