Oliver-if you follow up with info-you likely get approved. Barclays / Juniper is extra difficult.

I didn't see much discussion on the companion ticket benefit. Often these types of certificates are pretty worthless since they require higher fare classes for the paying traveler to qualify for the free companion ticket, but this one really seems to apply to any fare code in economy. It seems to be that this could be a pretty valuable benefit also, or am I missing something, capacity controls for the free ticket maybe?

Sure, I'd rather travel in E+ on United, but if we can essentially get a 50% discount on one trip per year to Europe for the two of us on LH, this might be worth considering.

from http://www.lufthansa.com/online/port...nodeid=2037464

Let us know what you find out. I can 0%APR for 6 billing cycles, but there are fees for the transfer. May have to transfer the balance from my most recent Citi AAdv MC
I got my new card today - alas they spelled my name wrong so I had to call and get a corrected one

Clarified the 0%APR on balance transfers - it is only for the first billing cycles from the opening of the card NOT the first 6 billing cycles from the time of the balance transfers.

Let me guess, they did not print the first letter of your first name.

I don't get it and I wonder what kind of "additional information" they need to have from Oliver.
Got the letter yesterday. They want proof of 'permanent residence' or US citizenship mailed to them. The credit check they do is with transunion, BTW.

They did not print the first letter of my first name! However, I don't care and used the card.

Wow - exactly right!!. I am guessing this is a recurring problem?? Is the LH IT department also working for BraclayBank/Juniper?

On a related point, I recently subscribed for a trial period for myFICO which provides a Credit Score watch. So today I was notified that a new account was added to my credit report (Juniper). At the same time my Credit Score jumped UP by 10 points.

at least it's a positive number.

I think you said earlier that you have 15 cc's that alone should knock the score by about a hundred points.

Yikes! Makes me think again about applying soon, since I've managed to build up my Transunion score to 727 after 5 months of having a credit history. I will probably get a "proof of permanent residence" letter as well - and I'm guessing that being a student on a F-1 visa doesn't qualify

Wow! I just checked my score, but no change the worse so far. Let's what happens when the October score becomes available. I'm usually somewhere between 780 and 800.
