Must be the ideal arrival time of your LH bird ex. MUC - last time, I made the
mistake of travelling into LAX from SYD, I wasted nearly 2 hours in immigration.
NZ now also offers Asian routes.
If know .. the ones that save 160 miles to LHR ... if one originates from AKL,
not SYD.
Anyway, who convicted you this time? And what for? Maybe for spreading false rumors that I "like FRA"?
First you must appreciate that the term convict has a much more positive meaning
Down Under than in the Old World.
Second, I use it in the sense of being 'convinced in a false manner'. Which I
think can still be applied even if it's a bit ancient.

And you do like FRA.
In the sense that you defend it against my adamant and relentless attacks.

No, I don't.

Guess, I'll have to ask Flying Lawyer to issue a gag order.

KiwiFlyer would be the one to ask - but I already explained and restricted
the way I see the 'liking'.
Still, I hence take it back and revoke my claims that flysurfer does
like FRA. And I offer my apologies for ever suspecting him to like it.
That's already two of us then ..

Good boy! And I'm actually quite sure that there more than two of us.

Anyway: You know what's really incomprehensible? The fact that you like LHR!

That indeed is hard to grasp.
And it's merely based on my personal prejudice: I never had to wait for too long
for check-in and security so far. And it's one of the few airports my friend has
yet to miss a check-in deadline with - unlike Luton and Stansted where she
just did it again. My warnings that if she ever misses the return on a UA *A
Oz-EU award, she would have to stay in Europe forever, are in vain as she likes
the Old World. You see how traumatised I am!

After having been to LAX twice recently, I hate FRA a lot less. It's all about
comparison..

I enjoy UA anyway these days totti.
I have no concept of how unpleasant it is to ride a blaclisted airline. As about 3/4
of all discomfort imposed upon us comes from measures introduced by authorities,
I have a hard time trusting them to sort out the right airlines for us. Maybe
these carriers simply did not implement enough passenger torture to satisfy
the regulators?

I never had the "pleasure" to use one of the blacklisted airlines myself... I just thought it would may help you to enjoy LH again

Cheers

But those get blacklisted for the hypothetical threat they expose their pax life
to ... not because their service is inferior.
There must be an inverse relationship between well being aboard and safety.
Look how cozy KLM feels and then travel Qantas for a change ...

no end to the struggle - LH position

Back to my good old thread on LH refusing to transport me.

After emailing back and forth, I got a letter from LH offering me some monetary
compensation for travel expenses and lost time and some miles. Even
though much less than the denied boarding compensation exclusive-or the miles
I demanded, the combined offer amounts for about half of what I asked for.

Now what's really odd-ish is that LH claims that it was a weather related incident
and hence they would not be liable for anything.
Which leaves the two major questions:
  • if they don't owe me anything why do they offer me miles and cash?
  • why did other carriers fly the route if ATC called a halt due to weather?
So probably time to write back once more .

Weero,

Not sure what your idea was on compensation but I assume they will tear you up in the air if oyu don't accept..

On the other hand, if oyu asked for the additioanl cost (reimbursement) plus a couple of hundered euros (compensation of time and trouble) and 50K miles (goodwill) then this would be reasonable.

So not sure how far off they are... if it is 75.96 Euros (half the train ticket in 2nd class) and 5k miles I would balk at them ...

Details to follow in 4 days. But I was even more modest than what you mentioned
above: I asked for the standard denied boarding compensation for short
haul more than 4 hours late or 50K RDM en lieu of any monetary compensation.

Ah, it helps to have a fellow victim

Weero, are you still fighting? I have finally managed to get my complaint to LH. My story isn't nearly as bad as yours, however.

Would be interested in the final outcome.
