It seems DUS will loose two-thirds of its EW longhaul fleet. The planes will be moved to FRA and MUC. According to LH the rational behind this move is to offer more connections targeting leisure travelers the same way Edelweiss and Swiss both operate from Zurich to target two customer segments.

Berlin-Sarajevo, originally planned as a summer only service with 2 frequencies per week, will now operate all-year-round and 3 times weekly.
Düsseldorf-Gdańsk is a newly added service, 4 times weekly (A320), starting from October.

I saw from the mileage bargains that EW added MIA to their routes. It seems to be a reasonnable addition, as the LH Group planes are often full.
I quickly searched for pricing on EW's best and biz fares (PE and C). They seem completely outrageous, higher than LH. Who would travel at such fares on a low cost carrier?

Most of the longhaul wings traffic is sold in bulk tour operators. So the cruise traffic to MIA/MCO/ANC/SEA will be booked in EW by the tour op companies. Also seats are sold in the various ...holidays websites as a package with rental cars hotel and park entrances.
