Eurowings in winter 2017/18 season is introducing additional Trans-Atlantic service from Dusseldorf, as the airline schedules Dusseldorf – Orlando route, operated by Airbus A330-200 aircraft. First flight is scheduled on 18DEC17.

EW1184 DUS1205 – 1655MCO 332 1
EW1184 DUS1250 – 1740MCO 332 4

EW1185 MCO1840 – 0940+1DUS 332 1
EW1185 MCO1925 – 1025+1DUS 332 4

On Eurowings’ website, the operational aircraft is listed as A330-200, however GDS schedule listing as well as the OAG displays Privatair Boeing 767. Previously reported on Airlineroute on 21SEP17, the airline is adding a number of Caribbean service from Dusseldorf. For Dusseldorf – Punta Cana route, the actual operator of the Boeing 767 aircraft is Privatair, not TUIfly.

It seemed the other month when I booked my January BUD-TXL flight that the previously Air Berlin route was being served by Eurowings. Last week I got a schedule change that it was an afternoon departure and then last night the route is cxl'd and I am flying through DUS.
I imagine this will stick (figuring it's the winter and not exactly the most exciting time to travel between the cities) so I may cancel and bite the bullet and book Ryanair or Wizz for the non-stop. Looking into the spring/summer it seems there is still only ULCC non-stop flights which is disappointing as I'll be going between the cities again then.

KRK is no surprise. Not enough point to point demand on that route. I know a few people who have flew to the US via TXL. Capacity and frequency downgrade. I think AB were 3 times/day with a Dash.
