The BP will have 'ECO LIGHT' on it. Flex/classic just says 'Economy'.

So does normal eco fare show as "ECO" or "ECONOMY" on the boarding pass?
And what about eco flexible?

if traveling on the new European fare, the BP shows the type of fare "Economy Light" / "Economy Classic" / "Economy Flex" / "Business".
if traveling on an intercontinental fare, the BP just says "Economy" / "Business" / "First"

Checked my BPs from this week and they all say either Eco classic or Eco light. It's never just Eco.

I thought it might depend if you open the BP in the LH app or in the iPhone wallet, but I was wrong:

And if you do the OLCI and print out the boarding pass, is it same? ECO LIGHT/ECO CLASSIC?

How does the baggage policy work on the light fares?
I know as a star gold I should get 1 extra bag, but these light fares exempt that rule. But if I was to buy 1 bag on the light fare, would I get an additional bag from the star gold status?

No, you don't get an additional bag allowance.

OK. That sucks.
Looking at fares KRK-EDI on ITA, it seems most are light fares.

If you search on LH.com you will be given a choice. An extra 84 PLN per direction is worth it for two pieces of checked baggage and the ability to select seats.

Yup. Looking on EF, the endings for the fare basis for the light are GT3 or GT2 vs the classic with S3 or S2.
I think I will buy a classic and have my mom just get the light. I got *G so we will have 2x23kg plus lounge access which is good enough.

I assume lounge access for *G is still valid on a light fare, correct?
