If I do have bags with me (to be checked or carry on) on an economy light fare ticket, how much do I have to pay extra?

A checked bag up to 23kg will cost 25€ (or 15€ within Germany) if paid online. See the chart below.
https://www.lufthansa.com/de/en/Free...gageLightTarif

One piece of carry-on up to 8kg is free.

Thanks! One more question, can I cancel an economy light fare within 24 hours of booking (and get my money back)? This is what I am used to at United but not sure how LH handles this. Can't find anything on their web page other than "refund is not possible" in the class/fare description.

This is normally not possible in Europe (as opposed to the US), but some airlines have been giving the option lately. Never hurts to ask...
You can always get airport taxes back though.

LH.com allows free cancellation with full refund within 24 hours, especially when you buy on the LH USA website.

The 24h refund policy works on the German site as well. Even with Eco-Light fare. Just did so last week...

Did anyone have any luck with cancelling LX light fare and getting anything more than just taxes out of it? For certain reasons, I've ended up with high fare bucket light fare (~$700 for a short-haul) that I need to cancel
and getting like $40 of airport taxes back sucks. Obviously should have purchased Flex, but it is what it is.
I know in the US many airlines issue travel certificates as a courtesy, but it's likely not the case with Swiss.

Hi guys,

since it seems I can't force *G +1bag (and more importantly +1 sport equipment) on Light fare. Can a TA force a CLS fare or should I just bite the bullet?

for Intercontinental fligths on Eco Light fare for SEN - how sure it is that one gets 1 bag free? is it only for LH, Swiss or all LH Group? (Brusseles/Austrian/LH/Swiss) ? or it is at a discretion of a check-in agent ?

I read this comment in (3) from the link above:

(3) = However, under a goodwill rule HON Circle Members, Senators and Star Alliance Gold members can check in one item of baggage up to 23 kg free of charge for the time being. This goodwill rule only applies at the airport check-in counter. If an item of baggage is booked in advance, e.g. online or in a travel agency, the baggage charge will apply.

what if I fly on United ticket but 2 first legs are on Swiss (or Austrian) operated flights? like VIE-ZRH-LAX ? and return on United + Austrain LAX-LHR-VIE ?
