That LH and others charge 450-500€ for a short term day trip is no surprise, been there, done that.

But various questions come up:
- q is available, but has no fare filed?
- I'm travelling HBO but need flexibility, in case the date doesn't happen, so I have to pay 20 more to cancel with 65€ penalty, or pay 80+ more to cancel without penalty...?

Q fare has minimum stay 1 night.
H is cheapest fare without minimum stay.

Also, if you append a segment MUC-PRG on the end, your fare will drop by 115 euro to 430 total

When I ask it to show flexible/refundable fares, our corporate booking portal (based on cyrtic) gets really confused:

Why I can not add Bags to check in online?

LH ticket stock

FRA-ZRH-BRU-OSL

FRA-ZRH light

With the Amadeus code on LH site I can not find the option to add checked bags?

OK, the appointment luckily got confirmed today itself so booked the light HBO version for 541€. It seems we have a 11€ discount on the base fare to soften the blow of 8€OPC and 16€GDS.

Can you reserve a seat for free? You should not be able to reserve a seat for free with a light ticket. Or what does CheckMyTrip say anything about your baggage allowance?

The light/classic is divorced from booking classes - you can buy full fare "light" economy....

Just look at your fare in the ticket, light fares show up as 'LGT' in the text, eg KLGTxxx. Classic is CLS, flex FLX.

It's utterly ridiculous that FTL/SEN/HON can't send luggage. The new "light" class is the same as the old cheapest eco when it comes to price - at least on my FF-segments.

For the 15 000 Euros I spend on LH-Group a year the can't even value me with sending my luggage the few times a year I will fly Intra-Europe on Flex. ^

Yes, an I spend more than 10.000 EUR just this month allone and still I have to fly Eco on Thursday since LH refuses to accept my money under the new Fare Concept to rebook into Business since only J is available. This whole new fare strucuture ist just bull....

I'm not a fan either...this new "Extortion Light" fare is nothing but a new fee grab. Shame on LH!
