Since SXD has been liquidated the announced LH leisure routes that were supposed to be operated by EW/SXD are now being moved to SN. The first example of this switch appeared this week in the form of FRA-WDH:

Hmm... How does SN operating an A330 from FRA work? Does the crew travel as pax from BRU and overnight in FRA or something?
Also- is there any indication of other current LH “leisure” routes which could transfer to SN or another “leisure” platform?...

The new leisure platform will be whatever comes of the 'Ocean' project. In the interim they are using SN A330 to operate routes that were supposed to be operated by EW aircraft and SXD crew.
SN already operated some of the routes out of DUS for EW longhaul, so in principle it is possible. A few former LH A330 were transferred to SN's AOC for that specific purpose.

Thank you. Do you anticipate that some mainline LH routes seen more as “leisure” will go over to the new / ocean platform?

Well, the tax payer is not gifting money to LH, it comes with a hefty interest rate and needs to be repaid. The reason to keep the EW/SXD A330 grounded/stored and use SN metal for such things surely makes economic sense. Most of the EW longhaul routes are usually sold to tour operators in block bookings in direct competition to Condor and tui, which have probably insisted that EW continues to operate select routes.
