Okay, you got me :-)

I don't need the look of my status card enhanced so I don't care about the numbers they 'award' to me (although I have to admit the Rambuster virus got me as well and I did the maths).

This exercise is useless as it doesn't come with benefits. Complete waste of time.

So, from now on it will be booking class > stars > current status?

Also, one star will equal lifetime FTL, two stars lifetime SEN? Surely, that is the only logical conclusion! I am certain everyone here agrees without reservations!

If someone were to drop back to base membership (yeah, why should that ever happen?), any reason why the stars wouldn't remain on a blue card?

I guess LH made a contract with a telemarketeer firm to identify prime targets. If you are gullible enough to buy loads of overpriced tickets, for a mediocre product, you'll buy pretty much anything.

work of a marketing genius indeed. I can imagine there will be tons of SENs/HONs at TLV impatiently waiting for their cards with yellow stars from LH

Well, they successfully promoted the collection of plastic ducks to their top flyers, so they might reckon The Stars will be a winner....

Spy trumps 5* "General", but even no-star miner and skout eliminates spy.

LH "Stratego" would be more fun than the stupid and customer-unfriendly junk LH comes up with to "enhance" status.

Exactly.... why use something a bit more expensive as the "KLM huisjes" when you can sucker people paying even more for their tickets with a plastic duck.

Imagine that printing stars will be an even cheaper way to inflate some ego's :-).

I will be an FTL--** ... or maybe one star does counterbalance one '-'? Then I will be an FTL !

Even though I envision the star LH has for me to be akin one of these .
