Ok, i diden´t get it, but i did an upgrade on check in for 70 EUR more. So i am happy. 12:30 duration in business class is worth it.

That's awesome! Enjoy! my flight is about 9 hrs, I'll be sleeping anyways so yep it's worth it. I bought the tix for 600 bucks r/t so the upgrade is worth it than buying biz tix for 3500.


Was it online check in you were offered the price or at the aiport?

OS upgrade offer Euro 700 VIE-HKG
We got economic tickets nonstop VIE to HKGfor Austrian Airline. During check in online, we were offered business upgrade for about 700 Euro per person. The flight is about 11 hours.
Is it a good price? How is Austrians business class product?

The only person who answer your question is you.
No one else can decide for you if you want to pay EUR700.
With regard to review of business class, suggest you try doing a search "OS business" or "Austrian business" or similar. Myriad details easily available

If you bought a dirt cheap Y fare to HKG then a Euro 700 is not a bad offer for such a long flight @:-)

This product seems to be one of their worst products. Status is not considered at all and the decisions come from the machine. This comes always at the same time. The most strange thing is that they do no accept an offer which is above standard but accept budget offers if economy is well-booked. In this way their business in Europe is mostly empty on most flights because quality of cold food and drinks is much below that what their mother company Lufthansa offers.
