Load factor on FRA-LAX
Hi,
I am flying FRA - LAX route on Lufthansa (LH456; 24th September). I am flying in premium economy flex (G fare) - I am still waitlisted for an upgrade to business class (I used miles for that) - any ideas what are the chances that the upgrade will clear? The same goes for my return (LH457) on 29th of September - this time I am flying in business basic (p fare) and tried to upgrade myself to first - also waitlisted. I have silver status in LH M&M.

The flight on 11 October 19 now shows F1A0. I'm surprised by it clearing so early too, I would have expected it to clear only a day before your travel, especially since it now only shows F1A0.
Anyway, I now feel justified in my confidence that your upgrade would clear
On the other hand I have a flight to PVG in two weeks that is F2A2 and my upgrade hasn't cleared yet... fingers crossed.

I just received confirmation a few days ago for the upcoming ZRH-PVG LX leg into F, which now leaves me at an upgrade rate of 100% on LX/LH with M&M miles.

Hi All,
can someone guesstimate or even better know as a fact how badly is Y+ overbooked on LH414 MUC-IAD Sep 29?
I have booked this flight some 3-4 weeks ago and only one middle seat is availiable for selection.
I would speculate on a OpUp if it is overbooked, if not I would try to upgrade with miles to avoid the middle seat.

What is your concern? That you will be dumped from the flight because no seat assignment? The risk is close to zero - LH will look for volunteers for VDB if the flight is still oversold tomorrow and usually there will be plenty of travelers prepared to give up their seats in return for cash. Most likely VDB will not be needed anyway - LH is very good at managing the seats/loads on their flights so even if you cant select a seat at OLCI you are almost guaranteed to find yourself on the flight at the end of the day.
If you are indeed on standby, your situation is somewhat different and there is a high chance that you will not be confirmed for this flight, but somehow I doubt that you are on a reel standby ticket - this is a ID /special ticket? If you by standby mean that you will not be able to select a seat when doing OLCI then rest assured that you will get a seat at the check-in counters or at latest at the gate.
The seat map you see in EF doesn't reflect the actual seats available for check-in as some seats are blocked, only to be assigned at airport etc.
